I got this recipe from a cookie cookbook I rented from the library, but I don't remember the name of the book. These are good cookies, hope you enjoy.

24 -36 cookies (change servings and units)

    Preheat oven to 325°F.

    In a food processor turn the oats into powder. In a mixing bowl sift together the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.

    In a large bowl beat the butter until fluffy and gradually beat in both types of sugar; then slowly beat in egg, milk, vanilla and almond extract.

    Gradually beat into the butter mixture the dry flour mixture untill well combined. Stir in chocolate and nuts.

    Drop by spoonful on well greased or parchment lined cookie sheets and bake for 12-17 minutes.
