White Chip Meringue Dessert Bars

This is a very sweet and delectable dessert bar, that will be fantastic for any dinner dessert-

24 bars (change servings and units)

Ingredients

FOR THE CRUST

FOR THE TOPPING

  • 2 cups Nestle Toll House Premier White Morsels
  • 1 1/4 cups nuts, coarsely chopped, divided
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

Directions

    FOR THE CRUST: Combine flour, powdered sugar and butter with pastry blender or 2 knives in medium bowl until crumbly. Press evenly onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes.

    FOR THE TOPPING: Sprinkle morsels and 1 cup nuts over hot crust. Beat egg whites in small mixer bowl until frothy. Gradually add brown sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Carefully spread meringue over morsels and nuts. Sprinkle with remaining nuts.

    Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or cool completely.
