I got this recipe off the New Zealand lamb website. It sounds rather different with the egg mixture in the middle of the burger.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Blend the ground lamb with the onion, nutmeg, horseradish sauce and lemon zest.
  2. 2
Add plenty of seasoning then divide the mixture into four.
  3. 3
Shell and mash the eggs and blend with the mayonnaise, parsley and seasoning.
  4. 4
Divide each piece of minced lamb in half and fatten into a burger.
  5. 5
Place a quarter of the egg mixture onto each, cover with the other half and mold together to make four large burgers.
  6. 6
Cook under a preheated grill or barbecue for about 10 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  7. 7
Serve in large burger rolls with salad.
