My BF saw something like this on Rachel Ray's show. She didn't remember the recipe exactly and we couldn't find it on the internet so this is what we came up with and it's awesome! We love it on grilled burgers, cheese steak sandwiches and steaks. The dijon adds something really special to the onions. I also make this with spicy brown mustard and love it that way, too.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic and cook until onions are soft and browned, about 15 to 20 minutes. Add mustard and stir, add 1 to 2 tablespoons water to deglaze pan. Cook another 2 or 3 minutes until the water is gone.
