Hi, I had some beautiful Lemons so I tried this but it did not work out too well.I made one batch and it was way too sweet. It also had a very bitter after taste. So I did a second batch with half the sugar and it only had a bitter after taste and not much of a lemon tartness or flavor.Maybe Texas Lemons are the trick but we can't get them in Oregon

School Cooker, I think you'll find the pith is what is causing the bitterness. I make a very similar lemonade, but I peel the skin off the lemons with a potato peeler as thinly as possible, then peel the white pith off the lemon and disgard it. Then shove everything in the blender and continue.
