Tastes Like Pie Store Peanut Butter Pie!

Recipe #366395 | 2¼ hours | 2¼ hours prep | add private note
WI Cheesehead

This recipe is so easy and so rich! I got it from my grandma, who keeps one in the freezer for when she has unexpected company. She can pull it out and slice a piece off without any thawing. Her recipe uses 1 (8 oz) Cool Whip, but I changed that. Prep time includes freezing time.

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup creamy natural-style peanut butter
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold milk
  • 8 ounces cold whipping cream

  • 1 (9 inch)  chocolate graham wafer pie crust
  • peanuts, chopped

Directions

  1. 1
Using a hand blender, combine the peanut butter, cream cheese and butter in a large bowl.
  2. 2
Add the powdeed sugar and milk and mix well.
  3. 3
In a ceramic or glass bowl, with clean beaters, whip the cream on high until of Cool Whip type consistency (or use Cool Whip). Fold cream into the peanut butter mixture.
  4. 4
Spread mixture into the graham cracker crust and top with chopped peanuts or shaved chocolate, if desired.
  5. 5
Freeze for a couple hours. When ready to serve, remove and slice immediately.
