Taste of Home Plum-Glazed Country Ribs

I love the sauce from this recipe and I have used it on Pork ribs and chicken and it is finger licking good. I use apricot preserve instead of plum as I wasn't able to find plum the first time I went shopping

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 4-4 1/2 lbs bone-in pork country-style spareribs

  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce

  • 1 (12-13 ounce) jar plum preserves or preserves, of your choice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)

Directions

  1. 1
    Place ribs in two ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dishes. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes; drain.
  2. 2
    In a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat. Set aside 3/4 cup sauce for serving.

    Brush ribs with some of the remaining sauce. Bake, uncovered, for 30-45 minutes or until ribs are tender, turning and basting frequently with remaining sauce. Serve with reserved sauce.
