I combined various recipes for this dish I have found over the years. This is has been the "crowd-pleaser". It's a simple and absolutely delicious baked dish! Everyone will love it!

SERVES 6 , 6 chicken breasts (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Lightly grease a 13x9 baking dish and place chicken breasts in dish.
  2. 2
Season chicken with garlic powder, salt and pepper and italian seasoning (optional).
  3. 3
Top each chicken breast with 1 or 2 slices of cheese (however you'd like it).
  4. 4
In a seperate bowl, combine mushroom soup and milk, stir until lumps are gone. Pour over chicken.
  5. 5
Top with stuffing mix and drizzle melted butter all over.
  6. 6
    Cover. Bake for 45-50 mins @ 350.
  7. 7
Remove cover, continue to bake for 5-10 minutes to crisp the stuffing.

This was wonderful and tasty.. one strong suggestion... make sure you get the LOW SODIUM stuffing or it will be too salty... otherwise we enjoyed it and it was so easy to make (and clean up after - always a plus

Wow! This was great. I used 2 breasts and 4 thighs, sprinkled liberally with italian seasoning plus all the other stuff. I used Pepperidge Farm cornbread stuffing mix because that's what I had. I used real swiss cheese (with the holes in it) that I sliced thin. It turned out perfect and was a big hit for our dinner tonight. Thanks for posting. I'm putting this in my tried and true file and will definately make it again and again.
