Here we have another baked beans recipe. Beans have to be soaked for 12 hours. Prep time includes soaking beans.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

    place beans in large bowl and cover completely with cold water, soak for 12 hours.
  2. 2
    drain beans and transfer to large saucepan. cover completely with fresh water and bring to a boil. season with salt and pepper, cook for 30 minutes over medium heat.

    preheat oven to 300*F.
  4. 4
    drain beans and transfer to bean pot. add remaining ingredients, including hot water, season generously. cover and cook for 3 hours in oven.
  5. 5
    thirty minutes before end of cooking, remove cover.
