Strawberry Sauce

I created this recipe for a strawberry shortcake topping, and after trying it, I realized it would be awesome for any recipe you'd like to top with a strawberry sauce, especially ice cream! It is so delicious I had to share it.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan.

    Bring to a slight boil over med high heat.
  3. 3
    Reduce heat to med low and bubble for 10 minute.
  4. 4
    Gently stir occasionally.
  5. 5
    Remove from heat and transfer to a container.
  6. 6
    Serve hot or chill until ready to use.
  7. 7
    Sauce will thicken upon standing/chilling.
