I have found several recipes, vintage, if you will that might remind some of the baby-boomers and older of another time in our history. I would like to share some of them with you. As in earlier times, when money was a little harder to come by,this "old-fashioned" recipe is made with cooked rice and a few of the "usual suspects," gelatin, pineapple, nuts, are you beginning to remember? If you do,maybe you would like to make this again, and if you don't maybe you would like to try it anyway, because this is a wonderful dish, that I truly hope you will enjoy. Cooling time is cooking time. Plan ahead, this is better made the day before you plan to serve it.

Love this salad Fluff! Reminds me of something we had when I was growing up! Great flavor!!! I forgot to add the milk, but that's ok. I also added 1 cup of mini marshmellows. I think this would be great with other flavors as well — maybe Orange jello and mandarin oranges, or lime jello with the pineapple. Also I used sugarfree jello which worked just great! Thanks for posting! Great recipe!
