Spicy and Salty Squid

I really like squid and it's great prepared this way. It's crunchy and delicious. Enjoy!

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

    Peel off the skin of fresh squid and gut; clean thoroughly. Cut the squid into thick strips. Set aside and drain.
  2. 2
    Place squid in a bowl, add egg, salt, sesame oil, white pepper, 3-tbsp cornstarch and 1-tbsp oil and soy sauce. Mix well.

    Heat up a pot with oil. Deep-fry squid with maximum heat until crispy. Remove and put aside.

    In a wok, stir-fry garlic shallots, and red chili in 1 tablespoon oil.
  5. 5
    Reduce the heat, place the deep-fried squids in wok. Season with salt and serve right away.
