Saved a lot of recipes to try in the future
This is one of my favorites--I use cutlets and they stay nice and crunchy--use them for salads, sandwiches, parmesan, picatta--anything a nice breaded fried cutlet is needed for.

I' LOVE good Fried Chicken & I'm sure that a lot of recipes listed above are good, but IMHO the #1 BEST is Shaker Fried Chicken Shaker Fried Chicken I make a darn good Fried Chicken myself, but THIS is even better than mine!!!
here in Australia one of our older top TV chefs has been working on the ll herbs and spices used by KFC He used Oregano, Chilli, Sage, Basil, Marjorum, Pepper, salt, Paprika, Onion garlic and the dreaded MSG. He says to prepare chicken covered in above spices - no he did not give quantities of spices and then dip chicken in egg and buttermilk and then one cup of all purpose flour. Coat the chicken well and deep fry in peanut oil at 175c. I am experimenting with the quantities but by goodness I thought I was at KFC.
Once again, thanks for ignoring vegans/vegetarians :-/
The reviewers of recipe number 24 (Kentucky Fried Chicken) are off their rockers. It specifically says that it's NOT meant to be a knock-off of KFC. My point being, don't judge this recipe by its rating. It's tasty!
My secret to great fried chicken... add a package of Good Seasonings (Dry) Italian Dressing Mix to your flour.
Now this is what we like to see...recipes for fried goodness! We love a good friend dish here at Bitchin' Kitchen so keep 'em coming please... xoxo BK crew
These are NOT the Top 25 Fired Chicken Recipes. I checked them against the ratings of fried chicken and they do NOT match. I also checked them against the ones in most peoples cookbooks and they are NOT the top 25 there either. I was told by "management" that they are the top 25 TRAFFICKED fird chicken recipes. They explained that this means they are the top 25 VIEWED recipes. Sorry, I just couldn't let this be thought of as the Top 25 fried chicken recipes based on anything but that they were VIEWED. NOT tested, NOT saved, just VIEWED. In business this is good, but misleading here.
Sorry to sound like a sour grapes person but I truly feel if something is "tops" here, it is because it has been tried and reviewed. Either way none of min e would have made it to the list. I just feel bad for those who have had their fried chicken recipes tried and reviewed by 50, or even more members, and not made it to the Top 25 Fired Chicken recipes. Also, they state above in the intro that these are the "most popular" fried chicken recipes.
Thanks for the heads up Nana Lee.
