Simple Chicken a L'orange

There are more elegant and complicated recipes for this dish, but this version will help you quickly prepare dinner and put a new "spin" on chicken! The recipe comes from a local newspaper.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

    Salt and pepper chicken. Brown pieces in butter. Set aside leftover butter in pan.

    Arrange chicken pieces in a prepared large, shallow baking dish.
  3. 3
    Into remaining butter, pour frozen undiluted orange juice. Thaw, mix well, and pour over chicken.

    Bake at 300 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour, making sure the chicken gets done. In the last 5 minutes of baking, pour slivered almonds and drained orange slices over chicken to warm.
