Shrimp and Crab Dip

"This is a quick and simple dip that is always a hit."

SERVES 6 -8 , 1 platter (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 250 ml cream cheese spread
  • 125 ml seafood sauce, tangy

  • 1 (170 g) can crabmeat (drained)

  • 1 (170 g) can small shrimp (drained)
  • assorted crackers

Directions

  1. 1
    Leave cream cheese at room temperature for half an hour, or until it is easy to spread.
  2. 2
    Spread cheese on a 9 - 10" platter plate, avoiding the liquid that sometimes accumulates at the bottom of the container.

    Spread seafood sauce evenly over the cheese, add more or less depending on your preference.
  4. 4
    Sprinkle the drained crab meat over the sauce.
  5. 5
    Sprinkle the drained shrimp over the crab meat.
  6. 6
    Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.
  7. 7
    Serve with your favourite crackers, best if served with Veggie Thins, Mini Bretton, or Wheat Thins.
