I found this on southernfoods.about.com and hope to try it soon. If it turns out well the first time that I make it, I don't see any reason why you couldn't make up a few ziplock bags including the rice for storage.

SERVES 3 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Dry seasoning mix

To Make Rice

Directions

    Combine all of the ingredients as listed in Dry seasoning mix in medium saucepan.

    Add to this water, butter, rice and dry wild rice.
  3. 3
    Bring to boil.
  4. 4
    Stir once or twice just to combine.
  5. 5
    Cover pan with lid tightly.
  6. 6
    Simmer gently 8 to 10 minutes or until almost all liquid has been absorbed.

    Makes 3 cups cooked rice.

great blend of spices, I increased the garlic to 1 teaspoon and added in cayenne pepper, we enjoyed this, thanks lazy! make for lazyme's cookathon in honor of her late DH

    This was really delicious and it was served with James Beard's Chicken Kiev and they both were a big hit with the DH!!! I made this for the Cookathon for LazyMe in support of her in this difficult time. Jelly
