Carolyn's Favorite Hot Wings

Someone asked me the other day how I made hot wings. Didn't have a printed recipe, just always did the same sort of stuff. Had to sit down and work it out. Here's the recipe. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Note that I put the minimum marinating time in with the prep time. -- posted by Mysterygirl

The Colonel decided that wings were going to be a good thing to serve and so he decided to create fried wings that are very tasty. The Honey Barbecue wings are tasty . After they are made, they are dipped into the Honey Barbecue Dipping Sauce. If you don't want the honey barbecue wings, just serve them as the regular wings. -- posted by JustaQT

Fantastic Hot 'n' Spicy Wings

This is the BEST recipe for hot wings and I have tried many others over the years ---I make these quite often at my get parties and everyone loves them --- you may double all ingredients if desired, if you are doubling the ingredients, I suggest to just start with 2 tablespoons hot sauce such as Louisiana hot sauce then add more to reach the desired heat --- I have even prepared these on the grill instead of the broiler and then finished cooking them in the oven with the sauce, another idea is you may cook the wings hours in advance or even a day ahead cool slightly and just leave them in the fridge overnight, then the following day just coat them in the hot sauce and then bake them in the oven, you may even prepare the hot sauce a day ahead in fact it tastes even better if prepared in advance just refrigerate overnight, preparing the wings and the sauce in advance is a great time saver if you are making them for a crowd, -- posted by KITTENCAL

Chili-Glazed Chicken Wings

I have made these many times, they are always a big hit. Make certain to place them in a single layer on the baking sheet. Use rice vinegar only for this, and if you can make certain to prepare the sauce early to reduce the vinegar smell that might linger from the rice vinegar, it's powerful stuff lol!. I most always double the chili sauce glaze, even for 2 pounds of wings, but that is optional. Plan ahead the wings need to marinate for 24 hours. The complete recipe may be doubled to 4 pounds of wings. Cooking time includes baking the wings and cooking the glaze. You can purchase chili-garlic sauce in the Asian section of any major supermarket. -- posted by KITTENCAL

Best Sticky Chicken Wings

For this recipe I strongly suggest to use fresh not frozen thawed wings as frozen will hold in too much water --- you may use 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic in place of garlic powder but the fresh garlic tends to burn while cooking, the choice is up to you or you may use both the powder and fresh garlic, the butter will firm up only slightly when chilled but will melt and blend in with the other ingredients when baked --- plan ahead the wings need to marinate a minimum for 8-24 hours, overnight is better -- these wings are delicious! -- posted by KITTENCAL

Delicious Grilled Chicken Marinade

This is the most delicious marinade for large amounts of chicken that you are going to grill. I originally came up with this recipe when I was looking for a better marinade at culinary school, so the original recipe called for a bottle of Lea & Perrins, and a cup of veg. oil, But I wanted more depth of flavor then that, so I added a lot of different combinations of herbs until I came up with this one. And it makes the chicken moist and delicious. -- posted by PatisserieFan

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

If you are a lover spicy food and buffalo wings then you might want to give this recipe a try, you may of coarse double or triple this recipe but because of the spices and cayenne you will need to make each recipe in a separate bowl (10 wings in each bowl) the amount of cayenne may be adjusted to suit heat level, plan ahead the coated wings *must* be refrigerated 2 hours before frying, this is important so do not skip ;-) Serve the wings with a blue cheese dip see recipe#181552 or use your own favorite recipe -- posted by KITTENCAL

Good Eats Baked Buffalo Wings

I love buffalo wings, but not all the deep frying that is involved. I was watching "Good Eats" one day and Alton Brown's fool proof method to delicious buffalo wings was discovered! I did make a few adjustments to this recipe that helped me out... but stayed true to the original for the most part. This method may be a little time consuming, but the end result of crispy, fall of the bone, tender wings is well worth it. The cook time includes the 1 hour in which the wings rest/cool in the refrigerator before baking. -- posted by atlfitgirl

Brown's Buffalo Wings

Food Network's Alton Brown's recipe. You steam the chicken, then roast it. So the chicken stays moist and yet gets crispy from the roasting. DH goes crazy over this, he much prefers them to frying. -- posted by Hadice

Sticky Guinness Chicken Wings

This is based on my grandmother's recipe for Pot Roasted Chicken, a sort of fusion dish. It has a definite bite from the pepper and Guinness and is not for the fainthearted *wink* If you prefer something gentler, use half Guiness and half water. The original dish is a mixture of Asian and Western ingredients and cooking methods. This is my lazy version, which was inspired by Buffalo Chicken Wings. It's good with white or buttered rice or pasta or as finger food when you're having drinks. -- posted by danadooley
