Thai Satay Style Buffalo Wings

When I was small, mom would make chicken satay with peanut sauce for company. It was only for special occasions, but it was one of my favorite dishes. I just started making it for my family and realized why it was only for company, IT'S HARD TO PREPARE THE CHICKEN. Slicing it into thin ribbons is tough work, especially in a small kitchen. But if I were to use chicken wings... -- posted by Gunnar

Extra Crispy Hot Wings

I personally like my Hot Wings deep fried and extra crispy. I came up with this recipe after getting tired of the same ol' messy wings with goopy skin. Substitute with your favorite wing sauce, but I always preferred the tangy taste and slight kick of Crystal Hot Sauce. I usually mix Crystal Hot Sauce with a bit of Crystal Extra Hot or Tabasco. -- posted by Ysman

Chili-Glazed Chicken Wings

I have made these many times, they are always a big hit. Make certain to place them in a single layer on the baking sheet. Use rice vinegar only for this, and if you can make certain to prepare the sauce early to reduce the vinegar smell that might linger from the rice vinegar, it's powerful stuff lol!. I most always double the chili sauce glaze, even for 2 pounds of wings, but that is optional. Plan ahead the wings need to marinate for 24 hours. The complete recipe may be doubled to 4 pounds of wings. Cooking time includes baking the wings and cooking the glaze. You can purchase chili-garlic sauce in the Asian section of any major supermarket. -- posted by KITTENCAL

Chinese Five-Spice Chicken Wings With Cilantro Sauce

Chicken With Olives and White Wine Sauce

This chicken is spectacular. I adore it. It's very very easy to make...a one-pot wonder! Ideally, you wanna use the largest pot you have (in terms of width, no depth). If you want everyone to get a large scoop of olives and sauce with their chicken (and who wouldn't?? Then just add more olives and capers than the recipe calls for. You can't go wrong...don't worry! Please...please review the recipe if you try it. Thank you! -- posted by E-Eva

I dislike fried food, but I love Buffalo wings! So instead of frying, I've been perfecting a technique for baking them that yields terrific results without the mess and greasiness of frying. We love Buffalo wings for dinner--it works well for thighs or drumsticks as well as wings. The cooking time as directed will work for wings, thighs, or drumsticks, but may need to be adjusted for larger pieces. -- posted by Halcyon Eve

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

If you are a lover spicy food and buffalo wings then you might want to give this recipe a try, you may of coarse double or triple this recipe but because of the spices and cayenne you will need to make each recipe in a separate bowl (10 wings in each bowl) the amount of cayenne may be adjusted to suit heat level, plan ahead the coated wings *must* be refrigerated 2 hours before frying, this is important so do not skip ;-) Serve the wings with a blue cheese dip see recipe#181552 or use your own favorite recipe -- posted by KITTENCAL

Good Eats Baked Buffalo Wings

I love buffalo wings, but not all the deep frying that is involved. I was watching "Good Eats" one day and Alton Brown's fool proof method to delicious buffalo wings was discovered! I did make a few adjustments to this recipe that helped me out... but stayed true to the original for the most part. This method may be a little time consuming, but the end result of crispy, fall of the bone, tender wings is well worth it. The cook time includes the 1 hour in which the wings rest/cool in the refrigerator before baking. -- posted by atlfitgirl

Food Network's Alton Brown's recipe. You steam the chicken, then roast it. So the chicken stays moist and yet gets crispy from the roasting.
The Best... Spicy Sriracha Chicken Wings

Okay-so I stole this from Michael Symon, but they are so FREAKING good I had to share! The recipe appeared in Food and Wine magazine (February 2008).

These are the best chicken wings I have ever had. There is a perfect amount of heat (for my taste) and the spices blend together perfectly! Please-don't be scared of the cinnamon. Never... be scared... of the cinnamon!

This dish pairs well with Pippy's recipe for Mango Salad (helps with the heat from the Sriracha) http://www.recipezaar.com/24779. -- posted by Missykrissy66

The Devil's Revenge (Hot Wings)

Sinfully hot! These wings start out a little on the sweet side and then the heat sneaks up and bites you in the $%# ($%# was not what I was saying in my mind, but since this is a family site and all that). Dipping them in Ranch or Bleu Cheese dressing will ease the heat for those of you that can't take it. It also just tastes good. -- posted by Karen From Colorado

I was in a wing cook-off and I did come in 2 nd place with this sauce, could of been in 1st but there were not enough ballots for others to vote! The sauce can be made as mild as you want or turn up the heat scale (Scoville Units) by adding more hot peppers. Any type from Jalapeno to Scotch Bonnets. This just might be the best wing sauce for taste. It is mild at the beginning then there is a shot of a little heat! -- posted by Moontan Master!

The Best Wings Ever !!!

Once you try this fall off the bone goodness you'll eat wings no other way :)

I've always loved Hot Wings and after a few trial by fire attempts cooking/burning them on the grill, deep frying & in the oven using just about everything I could find in the grocery store i think I've found the perfect combination...
Depending on how hot you like your wings you can use a few different sauces.. I'll just name the couple I like...

Patrick's Buffalo Wings (Chicken Wings)

I once traveled MANY miles from my home in southern Ohio to Buffalo, NY specifically to try the wings at the two restaurants which claim to each be the originators of this terrific and famous appetizer... then I devised my own version. These are my very best hot wings, medium heat, after years of experimentation. Make sure to use the biggest wings you can obtain to avoid overcooking.
Siamese Chicken Drumettes

This recipe originally came from Better Homes and Gardens. Our DIL Leah made it for our dinner last night-this is her recipe with modifications. BH&G say it is great for a picnic, or can be served as a delicious starter. We ate it as a main with a salad. I'm tempted to serve rice or noodles with them with the remaining sauce spooned over them too rather than waste it as BH&G suggest. Drumettes are the wings with the tips removed, so they're like mini drumsticks. -- posted by JustJanS

Buffalo Hot Chicken Wings or Tenders

This is adapted from a diabetic hot wings recipe that I came across while searching for something my husband would like. I've always wondered where the term "Buffalo hot wings" came from and I learned that the traditional hot sauce was created over 45 years in a Buffalo, New York pub! You can honor the Buffalo tradition by serving blue cheese dressing as your dipping sauce...use a low-fat or a fat-free dressing if you are trying to eat healthier. And as you know, the chihcken tenders have less fat than the wings. I hope you will try this recipe and let me know what you think! -- posted by Debaylady

A smoky wing with medium heat. This way of preparing the wings is lower fat than deep fried and not as messy if you marinade them overnight and don't coat them in sauce again before serving. Also, if you are not able to find Tabasco Chipotle you can use any hot sauce with a little liquid smoke added.
