Stove Top Smoker Smoked Chicken Wings

Cut the chicken wings into two parts, discarding the tip, which has no meat. The wings will absorb more flavor and are easier to smoke, and more fun to eat.

Chicken Drumettes/Wings

Found this in San Francisco Encore by the Junior League of San Francisco. It has different sounding ingredients that appeal to me.
Herb & Apricot Glazed Chicken Wings

I developed this recipe for a reception where I did not want to use tomato/BBQ based glaze so it would be easier on carpets and clean up, yet still have great flavor. Got lots of positive response. I make it in a crockpot for ease while preparing the rest of a menu, but you could easily bake these. I serve it over rice (for dinner at home) and the sauce is great on that. -- posted by ChefTifara

Sticky Guinness Chicken Wings

This is based on my grandmother's recipe for Pot Roasted Chicken, a sort of fusion dish. It has a definite bite from the pepper and Guinness and is not for the fainthearted *wink* If you prefer something gentler, use half Guiness and half water. The original dish is a mixture of Asian and Western ingredients and cooking methods. This is my lazy version, which was inspired by Buffalo Chicken Wings. It's good with white or buttered rice or pasta or as finger food when you're having drinks. -- posted by danadooley

Best Hooters Hot Wing Sauce (And Breading)

This is the BEST hot wing sauce I have found. It is a clearish shade like hooters, and they are to die for. Not too hot though to were I can't eat it, it is just right. Could also be used as a dip for chicken tenders! -- posted by Tara_hearts

The Devil's Revenge (Hot Wings)

Sinfully hot! These wings start out a little on the sweet side and then the heat sneaks up and bites you in the $%# ($%# was not what I was saying in my mind, but since this is a family site and all that). Dipping them in Ranch or Bleu Cheese dressing will ease the heat for those of you that can't take it. It also just tastes good. -- posted by Karen From Colorado

Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings

My boys love chicken wings so I'm always challenged to find new ways of making them. I took my original recipe and made it spicier. These don't last long.... and are always requested by friends and family gatherings. The wings are cooked low and slow and the sauce gives them a kicked up flavor. If you like chicken that falls off the bones, give this one a try.... they won't dissappoint. ;) -- posted by Vseward (Chef~V)

Braised Chicken Wings

I was only cooking for 3 so I did 10 wings cut in half and 5 large ribs chopped in half to make 10 and this perfect for us, so just adjust for how many you are serving. If you wanted to make these for 4 and were not making ribs as well I would allow for 3 wings per person, so a total of 12 chopped in half and I would make some stir fried rice to accompany. The sauce ingredients I have listed below would be plenty for the extra chicken. If serving with other asian dishes 12 wings would be about right for 6 people and this would also be the case if serving as a stater with no rice. It really just depends in appetites so adjust accordingly. -- posted by The Flying Chef

Lompoc Legs -- Annemarie's Version of Buffalo Wings

My husband and I went to Niagara Falls a couple of years ago. We decided that since we were flying into Buffalo we musn't pass up a chance to eat at Anchor Bar where hot wings were invented. After a full day of flying with our daughter, who was about 7 months old we were looking forward to a nice plate of hot wings and a couple of beers. We drove in the rain down dark streets and finally came to the infamous Home of the Original Hot Wings. The service, beer, wings, and fries were great. I decided to try a "West Coast" version of the wings. I named them after the town in which I live. I hope you enjoy! -- posted by Picante

Patrick's Buffalo Wings (Chicken Wings)

I once traveled MANY miles from my home in southern Ohio to Buffalo, NY specifically to try the wings at the two restaurants which claim to each be the originators of this terrific and famous appetizer... then I devised my own version. These are my very best hot wings, medium heat, after years of experimentation. Make sure to use the biggest wings you can obtain to avoid overcooking. Also make sure that your ground red (Cayenne) pepper is VERY fresh. -- posted by Bone Man

Authentic Anchor Bar Buffalo Chicken Wings

This is the original spicy Buffalo chicken wings recipe from the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY. You can adjust the heat by adding more or less cayenne and Tabasco.

There are many Buffalo chicken wing recipes out there, but if you want to taste the "real" thing give this a try. The chicken wings are deep-fried in the original recipe, but the hot oven works fine for the home version.

Siamese Chicken Drumettes

This recipe originally came from Better Homes and Gardens. Our DIL Leah made it for our dinner last night-this is her recipe with modifications. BH&G say it is great for a picnic, or can be served as a delicious starter. We ate it as a main with a salad. I'm tempted to serve rice or noodles with them with the remaining sauce spooned over them too rather than waste it as BH&G suggest. Drumettes are the wings with the tips removed, so they're like mini drumsticks. -- posted by JustJanS

Paprika Chicken Wings

I love chicken wings because they are fast and easy to prepare and can make a delicious meal. I often create three different flavors of wings, arrange in a serving platter with kale or green leaf lettuce as a divider. Tuck your favorite dip in the middle and everyone thinks you ordered this from a deli! My husband and I often make about 12 wings with our favorite frozen pizza for TV night. NOTE; Please look for 'gourmet' paprika, I found a Spanish one that costs the same as the common brands yet tastes so much better. -- posted by Chef #665035

Gloria Pitzer is known for copying famous foods. "I take the junk out of junk food," says Pitzer. "You know what goes into my recipes." Gloria is careful to point out that she doesn't actually know what the big chains put in their food. "I don't try to dissect the foods and figure out the chemical ingredients," she says. "I never, ever try to steal anyone's secret corporate recipe.
Golden Mustard Wings

There's actually a restaurant devoted to chicken wings in Charlotte, North Carolina--the Dilworth Wing Ranch. They bake'em, fry'em, grill'em, and flavor them in every fashion. Their Taylor's Gold dish inspired these mustard laced little nuggets, less sweetly sauced than our other wings. I found this recipe in Chicken On The Grill.
Lower Fat Chicken Wings

Since most of the fat is in the skin of a great chicken wing, this recipe caught my eye, because it is skinless. For those "wing lovers" out there who are trying to be diet concious, this may be an option.
NOTE: Recipe says to use cooking spray to fry the wings. I, personally, would add a couple of drops of oil for more flavour (and calories, unfortunately). -- posted by Sweet PQ?

Five Spice Chicken Wings

From the latest edition of Recipe+. I love five spice and chicken wings but unfortunately the only one in the family to like wings so will probably make with drumsticks and thighs and allow a longer cooking time. When removing tips from wings, bag and freeze and when you have enough they are great to make stock with. The recipe can be doubled and taken up to the end of step 1, bag and freeze (for up to 3 months), defrost in refrigerate overnight and continue from step 2. Have not included marinating time in the times. -- posted by I'mPat

Marmie's '... on the Way Home from Buffalo...chicken Wings

I used to drive across the border with friends on occasion to Buffalo from Toronto Ontario and we would go through a wonderful (though somewhat dingy) drive through restaraunt for wings and eat them from the bucket on the way home. Soooo delicious After about visit 6 or so I found out how they made these, and over the last 25 years this is the closest to the recipe I can imagine getting! (Bottled BBQ sauce was not as nice as homemade, but it is quick.) So addictive! Not stinging hot ....not bland and plain ol' BBQ . On a hot scale of 1 - 10 my Hubby calls this a delightful 7 - 8 with a wonderful subdued afterglow that makes you desire more. They can be made hotter or milder to taste easily by slowly adding the Red Hot sauce to your taste requirement. NOTE: OFTEN, I make triple or more of this recipe and freeze it in portion controlled ziplock bags to have them on hand for unexpected guests or a night time craving! I hope you like them...and If someone remembers the restaraunt from way back then... I would love to know the name of it!! Good memories... -- posted by Marmie's
