Pan-seared Cod With Basil Sauce

This has a fresh pesto-like feel without the nuts, and a lot less fat. Any flaky white fish can be used here - I usually have tilapia or whitefish around rather than cod. I had an open bottle of Reisling and so I used that in place of the broth. From Cooking Light. -- posted by Vino Girl

Not My Mom's Fried Fish

This is someone's Mom's fried fish recipe but it's not MY Mom. I found it in Taste of Home, June/July 2005 issue and made it tonight for dinner. It's very, very good and SO easy. The recipe called for the fish to be deep fried but I fried it in about 3/4 inch of oil in a large, heavy skillet. Also, the original recipe called for whitefish fillets, cut in half lengthwise....I used some thin Chilean sea bass fillets and it was excellent. I think any firm, white fish fillets will work. This recipe was printed in Taste of Home magazine and attributed to Julie in Wisconsin. Julie, if you ever become a member of Zaar, contact me and I'll ask Kathy to transfer this recipe over to you and thanks for the great dinner! -- posted by Hey Jude

Swordfish Steaks With Pistachio Butter Sauce

From Redbook magazine, April 2001. I've always found this to be a winner. I've used frozen swordfish steaks and fresh; doesn't matter. A bottle of cold white wine and steamed fresh broccoli with lime butter go well...very well...with this. -- posted by vivmom

Flounder Almandine

I had some frozen flounder filets I had bought at Costco and wanted to do something just a little special rather than the ordinary. I found this recipe on the back of the bag containing the flounder. It is so good, quick and easy -- and you will probably have all the ingredients on hand (as long as you already have the flounder ;) Would be nice to serve with rice. Enjoy! -- posted by Bev

Ww Core Sole

I found this some time ago but it works for Core. You may have to count the Parmesan, depends on if you you use fat free or not. I do this in the toaster oven. -- posted by Chef #290998

This halibut, which is baked in the oven, gives you an easy way to enjoy the delicious combination of flavors and healthy benefits of halibut and fresh herbs. It is a wonderful way to have a light sauce for your fish with a lot of flavor and minimal effort.
This dish is so easy and simple that the key to its success is fresh ingredients. Dried herbs will not work for this recipe.

Sesame Crusted Fish

This is a terrific and simple fish dish. I've made it for many years. This is best with a flaky fish such as cod or snapper but tilapia will work, too.
Whitefish With Orange Rice Stuffing

This is very falvorful and gives the fish a lovely orange flavor. Becareful not to use older oranges as the zest tends to be a bit more bitter. Also be careful not to get any of the pith. If you want a bit of a sweeter taste you can substitute a table spoon of lemon juice for orange juice. -- posted by *Alia*
