This is a refreshing, not too sweet punch. I received the recipe from a friend who helped with my son's graduation party. I thought I had lost the recipe, but found it taped to the fridge in the church kitchen last week. Adding citrus slices to the ice ring makes it look pretty. It's also nice to make a little extra punch without the 7 Up, & use that to make the ice ring. That way the punch doesn't get diluted as the ice melts. This is a very simple, but tasty punch. It is also fairly inexpensive, which is great when a large quantity is needed. You can changed the flavor of drink mix used in order to obtain a desired color of punch. This is a recipe for Cuban Sangria that I first had at a pool party in the Little Havana area of Miami. It was made by the host in a large cooler and dipped out during a BBQ and party. It was the best Sangria I have ever had and my wife and I have made it several times since to serve with rave reviews. BEWARE! A friend had an Italian Buffet, so I made this combination to simulate Italian Cream Sodas after reading many punch recipes. I was going to make an ice ring but never got a mold or pan to suit it ... so made ice "muffins" instead. It turned out VERY yummy and I had 3 requests for the recipe!! My very first invention! :D Cooking/prep time does not include freezing the ice. P.S. It is no secret that I am a die-hard nanner fan. I love nanners any way I can get 'em. However, I think my favorite way to have them is in a flavorful drink. This recipe I got from an ancient cookbook compiled by home ec teachers. Miz Knaus (whoever you are), I salute you!! This punch is an easier version of a punch we served when I helped cater weddings. I got it from Taste of Home Fix it Fast. Everyone seemed to like that is wasn't too sweet like some punches are. I like it because it is very easy, but doesn't taste that way! Doubling, tripling or whatever you need works fine I served it to over 100 people. I've been making this punch for years. I wish I had a dollar for every time someone asks for the receipe and then thinks that I'm truly keeping it a secret because they cant believe it only has 2 ingredients. It is the easiest, most light and refreshing compliment to any shower, tea or party gathering. It's beautiful looking too and matches any theme or color. You can make it for a few people up to 100's and still, it is a money friendly punch because it has only 2 ingredients. But don't let the 'only 2' ingredients fool you. It's delicious! This recipe is from an old cookbook I found. Homemade wine or beer was legal as long as it contained no more than one-half per cent alcohol. From Every Woman's Cook Book by Mrs. Chas. F. Moritz (1926) p. 617. If you can find a bootlegger in your area, I think some rum or whiskey would really perk this up. This recipe makes a LOT! This stuff LOOKS like beer, with a foamy head, but it is NON-ALCOHOLIC, with a not-too-sweet flavor. It is light and refreshing. Recipe can be greatly multiplied easily. I got it from my mother, who used to serve it all the time, and now goes for the creamy type punches. It is fast and easy to make,too. This recipe will make enough green punch to fill an average size punch bowl. If you are entertaining a large number of people and feel that you need to make more, just multiply all of the ingredients, with the exception of the sherbet. Recently I made this punch for my nephew's first birthday party. To serve aprrox. 50 guests, I multiplied the recipe by 4. Results vary depending on the size of the cups. To change the color of the punch, substitute a different flavor of Kool-aid with a MATCHING color of sherbet. (The two colors must match, othewise, the punch will turn brown.) -- posted by BeanPole

This is really refreshing on a hot day. I'm sure you could add rum to make this an interesting cocktail although I've only tried the non-alcoholic version! This drink is best when made with newly-opened sparkling water, to get the most fizz out of it! Cook time is chill time. -- posted by Shuzbud

This is made using Framboise de Bourgogne, a brandy distilled from raspberries. This is ideal for garden parties, graduations, and weddings. Preparation time includes chilling time. This will get raves! Delicious, refreshing and pretty served at any get together. ( You can spike it if you like it! ) I use fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice. This makes one pitcher so it's nice to just have in your fridge. This is a great tonic for the kidneys. -- posted by Suzy_Q
