			<description>This is one of my most favorite recipes. It has very few ingredients but turns out very well. When you take it out of the oven you can hear the crust crackling-very nice! Hope you like it as much as we do.
(If you want to use whole wheat you can add only a half a cup to this recipe -more than that will make the bread dense) Also if you only have active dry yeast- double the yeast amount to 1/2 tsp.

			<description>This recipe is from King Arthur Flour and is a delicious fall twist on cinnamon buns.  And, they are somewhat healthier because they contain some whole wheat flour (and a vegetable!).  The dough is very easy to handle and rises up beautifully.  These would also be good with a cream cheese icing.
Dough requires a total of at least 2 1/2 hour rising time (if you use liquid milk instead of dry, you may require slightly longer rising time).  You can make the dough the day before. Just let them rise for about 30 minutes, wrap them up, and refrigerate overnight. A wonderful recipe for the cooler months, but as it uses tinned or frozen pumpkin, these can be made all year around. If you don't want to serve these with the honey butter, just split them whilst warm and spread with normal butter or cream. The article noted - Like the bialy, a form of pletzel from Bialystok, her tzibele pletzel (onion pletzel) is studded with onions and poppy seeds, but it is flatter than the bialy and made from a sweet dough formed into a round, rolled out very thin and then pricked with a fork. You can double this recipe and bake in at 13x9-in. pan.

Variation: For outrageously good pumpkin bars, substitute canned pumpkin for the banana and add 1 tsp. fresh grated ginger.  Outstanding!

We used whole wheat pastry flour with some flax meal thrown in for good measure, frozen blueberries allowed to thaw slightly, and a silicon muffin tin.  They were somehow dense and light at the same time, and had an interesting buttermilk note (we assume from the yogurt). 			<description>I lived in Big Sur off and on for about 10 years and my heart is still there. I adapted this recipe from 101 Cookbooks. Heidi Swanson says,
&amp;quot;The Big Sur Bakery sits back off California's famous Highway 1 a bit, nestled next to a gas station. It's owners, three of them, abandoned the Los Angeles restaurant scene years ago, determined to turn a property with a lackluster track record into something special. They set their sights on a house-turned-abandoned-restaurant, eventually wrangling it into what is now the beloved Big Sur Bakery. 
This is a recipe from Terry &amp;quot;Hide&amp;quot; Prince, one of the bakery's earliest friends. If you can imagine a dense, seed and grain-packed English muffin, you're in the ballpark. Rather than using salt, Terry gathers kelp from the coast and uses it to season the bread. 
The key to enjoying these delicious little breads (and I can't emphasize this enough), is splitting them open, toasting them until they are deeply golden, then slathering them generously with butter (or drizzling with olive oil or honey). Then sprinkle with a bit more salt. Blissful buttery crunchiness.&amp;quot; 
 Terry Hyde, the creator of the recipe says, &amp;quot;There's no need to be intimidated by making my bread. It was born out of a sea voyage, from Hawaii to New Zealand, because it was easier than yeast bread. I used my friend, Jay's, Irish soda bread recipe, only I added my own super foods. Amaranth, millet, and quinoa all have the 8 essential amino acids for building muscle, flax seeds for digestion, and kelp or seaweed for vitamins and minerals. I keep a 5 gallon pickle bucket with my dry bread mix, adding whatever sounds healthy. It is not as moist as parkin or gingerbread, but it is extremely good when spread with butter or even better, when toasted.......divine! It is also surprisingly good when served with cheese. Another idea that I discovered in a local caf&amp;eacute;, is to serve it warm with a dollop of cr&amp;egrave;me fraiche and a little bunch of fresh berries on top, a perfect dessert for an elegant dinner party! This improves with keeping and makes a wonderful gift for a foodie friend or hostess  wrap in cellophane and attach a ribbon with serving suggestions.
