			<description>I threw these together tonight when getting in the mood for ZWT5.  When I think 'Texas' I often think of good BBQ and beef.  When I think of Mexico I tend to think of a bit of heat and fresh tomatoes and avocado. So, I threw them together to make one yummy burger. 			<description>This is a great salsa to can and enjoy in the winter. I played around with several recipes I found, and just adjusted until this one matched my family's taste. We really like the citrus lime flavor over the vinegar that is used in so many recipes. It can technically be water-bath canned, but since that usually requires cooking down for a while prior to processing it gives it too much of a &amp;quot;cooked&amp;quot; flavor. 			<title>Smoky, Spicy Tomatillo Salsa Verde Aka Canned Green Hell!</title>

			<description>I wanted to preserve my Recipe #97531 and came up with this. Adding the lemon, lime juice and vinegar for acidity to preserve the salsa. Green tomatoes can be used in place or along with the tomatillos. After opening the canned salsa you can drain some of the liquid so not to watery. Do NOT thicken with flour or cornstarch.

			<description>Another long prep recipe, this hearty and spicy stew is an excellent part of a harvest meal or just perfect for colder days.  All of my recipes take a while and produce copious amounts of leftovers, and lend themselves to quick meals later.  Green Hell Chili Verde with White Beans and Pork is no exception.  Everything from scratch, whenever possible.  Adjust the heat by either adding or subtracting fresh jalapeno peppers.  Green tomatoes can substitute for tomatillos, or use both if you want.  The beans need to be white, but Great Northern beans work really well.  Corn flour or wheat flour are important - using cornstarch makes it slimy. I just don't saute everything, but throw it all into the crock, including the already fried bacon.  Aso, when I use the crockpot, I'll often substitute out the can of beans for a multi-bean pack that I'll soak overnight (start them out in hot water) before I cook them in the crockpot.
