			<description>Yes, this is the REAL DEAL, folks -- this is the super great-tasting ham salad spread that you used to be able to buy at the mom and pop stores back in the '50s and '60s. It makes a lot but it will go fast. I could eat these ham salad sandwiches on sesame-seed buns with a little lettuce every day of the week. Don't use cheap bologna in this recipe or you'll be disappointed -- I like to use Kahn's Club Bologna. Also, you'll need some sort of meat grinder to make this -- a food processor does NOT yield a good consistency. I use my Kitchen-Aide Grinder attachment. 			<description>Cincinnati Chili is available in stores or online. The top brands are Skyline, Gold Star and Dixie. Dixie is the superior choice as far as I'm concerned, (&amp;quot;Cincinnati chili for the Southern palate,&amp;quot; is their slogan). Use the type with no beans unless you like dip with beans in it. There are also a couple of clone brands (store brands) of Cincinnati chili now available. Also, if you want to make your own, here's a recipe that you'll love: Recipe #133250. I invented this dip recipe and it's really caught on in my neighborhood. Serve it with torn-off chunks of baguette bread or, with nacho or tortilla chips. The only criteria for these toasted &amp;quot;sarnies&amp;quot; is that you use THICK slices of good quality white Farmhouse style bread; such as home-made or Artisanal crusty bread! And, a good quality Cheddar cheese - preferably mature with good mayonnaise and tangy chutney! Although I have given the method for grilling (broiling) these sarnies, they'll be fine if they're made in an electric sandwich or grilling machine, such as a George Foreman. There is no need to add the chutney separately then, just add it to the cheese and mayonnaise mixture. Cheesy, crispy and flaky pastry straws with a lick of marmite - great for pre-dinner drinks, picnics, lunch boxes or snacks. The Marmite company has a very clever advert that announces that you either LOVE Marmite or HATE it!  I love it, that's why it has been added to these delicious Cheese Straws........however, if you HATE it - I have suggested alternatives.  My daughter only ever uses Marmite in her cheese straws - but then she is also a Marmite lover! Serve these in a tall glass for tasty appetiser nibbles - if you are using the other flavours, you can lable the glasses so Marmite haters can be pre-warned! Have fun! 			<description>This is JUST gorgeous! A domestic take on the classic Italian marketplace or street food, Porchetta, which is actually roast suckling pig. Porchetta is thickly sliced and served in ciabatta bread as a delectable hot sandwich throughout Italy. My recipe is a much-adapted recipe taken from one of Nigella Lawson's cookbooks, and it is SO easy to make at home. I cook mine in the crock-pot for meltingly soft and tender pulled pork - however, I have also given traditional roasting directions in this recipe. I would always be dispatched to a quiet corner with a plate full of goodies, including loads of these! Now I make them for parties, or drink snacks, and everybody loves them. I make trays of these, and the amount listed below is quite small, so be prepared to make more!  They are so simple but oh so effective! I tend to use streaky bacon for the fat content, but back bacon works fine too. 			<description>Build your own burger - the recipe here is for a low-fat cranberry and herb turkey burger, with LOTS of options! Plump semi-dried Canadian cranberries and fresh chopped herbs are added to lean, low-fat turkey mince for a moist and flavourful burger, and without the guilt! I have offered the bacon, cheese, assorted condiments and the burger bun as an option; if you are REALLY watching your calories and fat intake, just go with the plain burger and a lovely crispy mixed salad on the side. Turkey mince can be a little bland, so the addition of the herbs and cranberries adds a real flavour injection. Try to use freshly chopped herbs for the best flavour, if you do use dried herbs, reduce the quantities by half, as dried herbs are more pungent than fresh. 			<description>Isn't it great when you eat something and it takes you back to being a child again! Well thats exactly what this dip does for me. My mum used to make this every time she threw a party or had people for drinks and nibbles. I would always have my own bowl and my own box of crackers and I would go off to some quiet spot and stuff my little face! I still love it now, so much so that I spoon it out of the pan while I'm cooking it (although I am trying to exercise more self control). This is such a quick and easy dip to make with stuff that you would normally have in the house, so a great standby for when people turn up unexpectedly. As for tasting like chicken? Be vigilant about squeezing all the liquid from the vegetables and, after thoroughly squeezing out the liquid, pat the vegetables (except the garlic which is likely to stick to the paper!) with paper kitchen towelling.  This is a recipe where it's a good idea to have all your ingredients ready before grating the vegetables and grating the potatoes last so they have less time to turn brown!  The weights indicated are approximate so the following approximate weight equivalents should give you an idea of the general amount required: 410g = 13oz; 375g = 120z; 75g = 21/2 oz. 			<title>Bacon and Horseradish Deviled Eggs</title>

			<description>Come on,you know that sounds good!  I developed these after attempting to overcome an addiction to bacon and horseradish dip I developed on my recent trip to the States.  You can even make these vegetarian by using the Bacos bacon bits that are made out of soy instead of the actual bacon.  The recipe can be scaled up pretty easily for bigger crowds.  Also, this is one of those times when I am not totally clear on how to translate an ingredient from UK to US.  I used what is called 'horseradish sauce' here in the UK.  Which, I remember being somewhere in between prepared horseradish and horseradish cream in the States. I was acctually  looking for a recipe like this here but could not find it so i posted my recipe here. In Iceland you will hardly find a potluck where these are not one of the treats. But don't be late as they are usually gone soon. Your kids will love these!
Note: You may use cornflakes or Cheerios or a mixture of these instead of rice krispies but they are in the original recipe.

My version uses Tostitos Scoops (bowl shaped corn chips) and cream cheese for some of the ranch dressing.  I made these for Christmas Eve and Super Bowl Sunday, and they were a huge hit on both occasions!  You can make the filling in advance and refrigerate until you are ready to assemble and bake.  If I am taking these to a party, I fill the shells before I leave home and bake when I arrive at the party.
