			<description>In the Northern part of England it is very common to go to a fish and chips shop and order chips with curry sauce. The curry sauce you get in chip shops is different from the sort you would get on an actual curry at an Indian takeaway.  It tends to be a bit sweeter and considerably more mild in spicy heat.  People eat it either poured all over their chips (ie steak fries) of in a pot on the side where they dip their chips. I first took it to a church game night that was just supposed to be snack food but knew I would want something a little more filling than chips had several requests for the recipe.  Which made me have to think because when I first made it I used what I had in the house.  This is what I remember using. I used Bar-S brand polish sausage which is just a cheap sausage a pack of 3 lbs is about $4 ( found in with the hot dogs in the refrigerated section lunch meats and stuff). I was looking at various vegetarian chili recipes, and was always disappointed with all the non-bean &amp;quot;chunks&amp;quot; I kept picking up with the fork, or thought these chilis were too sweet. Yes, I love veggies but was always grossed out by tomato chunks (in spite of loving tomato sauces and my special tomato soup.) If you want to make this vegi-chili &amp;quot;con corn&amp;quot;, a can of 15-oz La Fe corn is the BEST for this recipe, but I wanted to keep the posting simple so I left it out. 1-2 tbsp garlic powder works if you don't have chopped garlic at hand. All kinds of beer suffice for this recipe but I found that Coors Light and Corona really worked the best. 			<description>This is a Midwestern classic apparently-- a school chum from Iowa told me about this recipe that's popular around fall and early winter, from having leftover cans of pumpkin from stocking up on sale but not wanting to make any more pumpkin pies-- they're popular for high teas, luncheon spreads, Superbowl parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas, or sitting on your can watching The Golden Girls. :D Since I didn't want to use actual marshmallow Fluff...this is my fluffy adaptation of this recipe that came out HEAVENLY. I could eat a drum of this stuff and not get bored of it! One 15 or 16 oz can of pumpkin works, or you can measure out 2 cups from a 28-oz can. She states that it is the order in which the ingredients are combined that makes the hummus so creamy in the end.  I don't know how true that is but I follow her method and always end up with great stuff that rivals my favorite brand.  I use my blender but I'm sure a food processor would work great too.
