Raspberry Punch

From "Cooking a la Heart"- Delicious Heart Healthy Recipes from the Mankato Heart Health Program, 1988. Very refreshing! The word "punch" comes from the East Indian word "puny" meaning five, so-called for its five ingredients: spirit, citrus juice, spices, tea and water. Introduced into England from Spain, it was also called "contradiction" because it used spirit to make it strong, water to make it weak, lemon to make it sour and sugar to make it sweet. Enjoy! -- posted by Bec

Cool and refreshing summer slush. Great use for those fresh strawberries as they make a nice addition to leave them quartered in the drink mix. For those of you that don't like to chew a drink, make sure to chop the berries smaller.
Strawberry-Kiwi Sangria (Non-Alcoholic)

This is my all-time favorite summer drink. Very refreshing.
If you prefer, the tea can be prepared and chilled 1 day ahead (Step 4), just cover and keep chilled in the refrigerator. Or you can cheat (which is what I do), and place the tea mixture in the freezer for about an hour, and then continue on with the recipe. I'm too impatient to wait three hours for this drink. -- posted by dripdripsplat

Rhubarb Lemonade

This recipe is from www.freshpicks.com. I like this recipe because it uses rhubarb in an unexpected way. In place of the sugar I used stevia. -- posted by Jen Potter

Lavender and Strawberry Fruit Cup from Wolds Way Lavender Farm

A boozy lavender fruit cup made with vermouth, herbs and fresh strawberries! How good is that! This is another gem of a recipe that I discovered on a recipe card from Wolds Way Lavender Farm in North Yorkshire, England – which is just 10 minutes from my parent's cottage. The delicately flavoured drink is the perfect way to unwind after a long, hard day........It is almost better than Pimms, and, as Pimms is my favourite summertime tipple, that is really saying something! Sit back, relax, sip and enjoy! -- posted by French Tart

Christmas or Anytime Punch

The Love Chef, Francis Anthony who appeared on the Regis and Kathy Lee show, calls this a Christmas punch but it is equally appropriate in the summer. Ahead of time, freeze the water or lemonade in a ring mold to make an ice ring. For a specially festive touch, place whole strawberries in the ring before adding the liquid and freezing. From the Cooking with Regis and Kathy Lee cookbook. -- posted by Sharon123
