Creamy White Wine Sauce and Italian Chicken over Pasta

This is a super easy, ultra tasty recipe that calls for white wine, a packet of Italian dressing mix, chicken and pasta. Upon my first time making it, I already had leftover cooked chicken breast, so I made the sauce on the stovetop and let simmer for 20 minutes, chopped the chicken and added it to the sauce and served over pasta. I used 1-1/2 cups of white wine to yield a sauce that was a little more runny, but consistency is a matter of preference. I also used 2 freshly chopped roma tomatoes, rather than the sundried. -- posted by Thumbs

Creamy Spinach Pasta Casserole

I had a bag of frozen spinach thawed and wanted to make regular greek spinach rice, but then my brain got toggled with cream and cheese and mushrooms and pasta for some reason, one thing led to another and the creation of this recipe happened. It was enjoyed, so if it sounds like something you would like, go along and play around with my recipe and tell me about it.
Verdict: Not bad. It was a tad undersalted for my taste but i think in general its better than over salted. And you cant tell how salty the cheeses would be. So i would stick to the amounts of salt and just add salt while you are eating if needed.
Optional in section B: you could add some chopped whole canned tomatoes - 1 cup. Also for those who prefer some meat in this dish, in section B you could add some cooked ham or turkey.
Serve with a nice vinegrette salad of cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, lettuce.. -- posted by Alfrancis

In honor of Elvis' birthday :) "According to Nancy Rooks, Graceland's longtime cook, this was the last meal Elvis ate.
This recipe came from GOOP.com, Gwyneth Paltrow's new lifestyle website. She is showing her Martha Stewart side as her recipes are quite good and easy to put together.
Easy Spaghetti Bake

A co-worker gave me the basic recipe and I made a few changes to make it super easy. It has been a pot luck favorite. I prefer Angel Hair pasta but regular spaghetti noodles can be used. Also, using Italian Sausage instead of hamburger or Mexican blend cheese instead of cheddar may make this recipe more to your tastes.

Broccoli and Garlic Breadcrumb Spaghetti

This fast-to-make pasta dish is a good way to use up leftover stale bread and, at the same time, to include a healthy green vegetable in your diet! Adapted from a recipe in 'The Australian Women's Weekly's Cooking on a Shoestring'. Adjust the garlic to your liking and don't include the lemon juice if you don't care for citrus flavours! You could, of course, use another vegetable in place of the broccoli and you could add onion. If you're not keen on cumin, omit it and add a favourite herb. I've also posted my adaptations of some other recipes from 'Cooking on a Shoestring': Recipe #365835 and Recipe #366217. -- posted by bluemoon downunder

Spaghetti With Broccoli Rabe, Toasted Garlic & Breadcrumbs

This is a quick and easy dish where just a few ingredients come together in a delicious and impressive dish. Another great recipe from Mark Bittman, printed in the New York Times (April 2009).
Bittman recommends making homemade breadcrumbs by tearing up stale bread, then pulsing the pieces in a food processor to make coarse crumbs (nothing approaching a powder).

You can use the same pot for cooking the broccoli and the pasta; and the same skillet for toasting the bread crumbs and finishing the dish. -- posted by blucoat

very easy Carbonara... or what resembles Carbonara... easy to make and really tasty ;)

I like it with a lot of cheese but you may use less
Any 'yellow' cheese would do ;) Instead of bacon you can use any other cold meat.
The number of servings depends on the amount of pasta you cook, but it usually is 3 because I like a lot of sauce on my pasta ;) -- posted by Verity2604

Tagliolini With Pecorino Romano and Black Pepper

Don't let the number of ingredients fool you, this dish offers a lot of flavor despite it's simplicity. Be sure to get high quality ingredients; it makes a big difference in a recipe with so few ingredients and it's still ridiculously cheap to make. Even the pepper is important, don't use the powdery stuff that's been sitting around for a year, splurge on some high quality peppercorns; you won't regret it.

The lack of oil is one of the most notable things about this recipe. While some add oil or butter to this dish, you'll find it really isn't necessary. Instead you use the starchy pasta water to create an emulsion sauce with your cheese which will stick to the pasta beautifully. As for the pasta itself, taglioni is a particular cut, but this recipe would work just as well with something thicker like tagliatelle or fettucine.

Although it's an old Roman favorite, I got this recipe from a recipe blog called "Rachel Eats" which I highly recommended. I wanted to post it on here to give it a wider audience. -- posted by OwlMonkey

"California is known for trend-setting cuisine and much of that is based on the culinary influence of its citizens, including a large Asian population. NOTE: I just made this delicious recipe. I only used 4 oz of noodles and then added WAY more veggies (cooked broccoli slaw and sliced baby bella mushrooms).
Frozen Baby Meal 1 of 6 (Spaghetti)

This is one of six frozen baby meals I used to make for my son. A friend gave me the combination and with minimal preparation you save yourself time and money. All six are really pretty good and I've made them for myself in a pinch. I would either try to use leftover meat from other dishes I'd prepared or intentionally make extra to use for these meals. My son used to have a three-compartment baby tray with lid and I'd put one or two frozen cubes in the first slot, a little baby vegetable in the second slot and a little baby fruit in the last slot and he was set for lunch. I'd have his tray ready the night before or in the morning and by lunch the frozen cube(s) had almost thawed and just needed a little warming in the microwave. The serving sizes are difficult to determine since it is dependent on the age of the child. -- posted by Queen Puff

I found this in a Cooking Light magazine. It's quick & easy! My kids (8 & 10) even liked it, but using 1 tsp of red pepper made it almost too spicey for them.
Summer Shrimp Scampi With Linguini

I adapted this dish from a Tyler Florence recipe one evening while trying to come up with a way to use an abundance of fresh basil and tomatoes from my garden. I had made a batch of fresh pesto with toasted pine nuts the day before. You can make your own or use ready made from the grocers. AND I used large frozen shrimp (lets face it, most grocers more than 25 minutes from the ocean only sell frozen anyway!). The combination of shrimp and tomatoes with a little garlic and basil seemed like a natural for a summer evening dinner. Add a little toasted sour dough garlic bread. My family polished off the whole platter. -- posted by Pegasus from SF

Frozen Baby Meal 3 of 6 (Chicken Soup)

Basic Garlic and Oil Sauce for Perfect Pasta (Rachael Ray)

If you like pasta, you're going to LOVE this recipe from Everyday With Rachael Ray's magazine (Oct '09). She has a "secret ingredient" that adds an unexpected zest to the ordinary ingredients: anchovies. She notes in her recipe that " even if you think you don't like anchovies, you should try this recipe--it'll change your mind." Further, she points out that "once you heat anchovies, they stop tasting like fish and start tasting more like salted nuts." So: try it, you'll like it! If you must, don't say anything to the diners--and ask them if they like it, before you reveal the "secret ingredient." -- posted by Debber
