Roasted Potatoes and Green Beans

Quick Chile Dilly Beans

"Late in summer, glorious canned goods like dilly beans are up for judging at county fairs and are sold at every farmers’ market. Some traditionalists would say that dilly beans are best after a month or so of marinating, but you can get that long-marinated taste in just one day with this quick technique. Any type of green bean can be turned into dilly beans, but super-thin, French-style beans stay tender and are less likely to be stringy or tough." States these will keep for up to 1 month in the fridge.
Green Bean Casserole

Green Beans With Mushrooms, Shallots and Pancetta

This elegant dish is loaded with flavour, and easy to make. I served this with salmon and my DD ate the leftovers cold because it was that good. You can make this ahead by boiling the beans and then refrigerate up to 6 hours ahead. The remaining ingredients can also be prepped up to 6 hours and kept in the refrigerator. An hour before serving, remove the beans from the refrigerator to come to room temperature. The recipe calls to boil the beans but I steamed mine until they are al dente.
Sarasota's Grilled Green Beans, Peppers, Olives & Fennel

This is a twist on many classic green bean dishes, but I really just like this dish. I used my grill pan, or you could use a saute pan, but the grill pan inside or out works so much better for this. I like the grilled taste it offers to this dish. I use red, yellow and orange bell peppers thin sliced, fresh green beans and olives. All tossed in a spicy balsamic vinaigrette tossed with kalamata olives and topped with grilled/fried fennel. A nice twist and only takes minutes to make. -- posted by SarasotaCook

Ultimate Green Bean Casserole

My Granny used to make this for every holiday, now my Mom does too! When I was younger I used to throw a fit if my Momma didn't make it! I get such a craving for this I could eat the whole pan. I like to think of this as more of an "Adult" version of the simple Campbell's and French's we're all used too.
Mushroom Green Bean Casserole

A french-style green bean casserole minus the fried onions and using homemade white sauce with fresh mushrooms and onions. This is very similar to Kittencal's Recipe #128905 , but mine does not use water chestnuts or almonds, and mine uses Cheez Whiz process cheese instead of shredded cheddar. You can use two 16-ounce packages of frozen french-style green beans instead if you like. Use more or less cream depending on how thick you like your sauce.
Creamy Lemony Green Beans

I had no idea what lemon curd was for a while, then I found bottles of it on the clearance pile at Stop & Shop. It is an English delicacy that is used in both savory and sweet dishes, and enhances the flavors of meats and veggies as well as making for a sweet toast and pastry spread. Hence, I used my favorite vegetable to experiment with lemon curd. Whole and cut green beans work, I like them tender but not mushy. -- posted by the80srule
