Angelica Butter

Recently I "procured" a wee bit of fresh angelica to try and found this easy introductory recipe online. This flavored butter is intended to be served with fish; I also tested the butter on French bread and grilled vegetables (corn on the cob, tomatoes, etc.)! Mmm! From sallybernstein.com.
Added to your bath water, angelica will "reputedly remove any curses or spells that someone has placed on you". <<<--I'll file *this* information away in a safe spot! ;) -- posted by Cookgirl

Lemon Cucumber Tea Sandwiches With Minty Mayonnaise (Or Hummus)

I replaced standard cucumbers with lemon cucumbers from our garden! Adapted from ichef.com with a nod and hat doff to another site (grouprecipes.com) for the hummus idea. If you dislike mint, try another fresh herb: basil is always an excellent choice, lovage, salad burnet or good ol' parsley. For a more substantial meal, add greens-arugula, baby spinach, loose leaf lettuce; perhaps some finely minced shallots, heirloom toms, ad infinitum... -- posted by Cookgirl

Eric's Pasta Salad With Tuna and Peas

This recipe came about at the last minute on Memorial Day. I needed something to take a to a barbeque, but didn't want to go to the store. My husband suggested shells, tuna and peas, all things we had on hand. I thought, ewww, sounds gross in the heat, but, I whipped it together. It was a huge hit. So much so our kids, my sisters and niece request it frequently. I'm estimating the measurements for the dressing, as I don't usually measure. -- posted by nanner18411

White Sangria

Fresh, sweet and fruity - goes well with tapas or as a light cocktail, I even drink it with paella! Slightly different from the traditional one which calls for red wine, but I just can't drink red wine when it's too hot outside, so I tried with white wine and it turned out just as great.
Feel free to sub any other type of fruit according to season or taste, and where possible use liqueurs that match. -- posted by AdriMicina

Thai Sweet Chili Sauce for Spring Rolls or Fried Tofu

Really good on any Thai food or whatever you need a dipping sauce for. Even chicken strips or ... whatevs. MMMM... o la la Your jalapeno mileage may vary, so adjust the heat accordingly. Keep in mind, however, that the heat is the strongest the day you make the sauce and starts to dissipate gradually the longer it is kept in the refrigerator. I usually start off with more pepper than I would like and let the sauce sit in the fridge for a couple of days before I use it. This sauce keeps for a long time, and after a couple of weeks, you can't even taste the pepper. -- posted by College Girl

Summer Camp Gorp

I used to work in the kitchen of a summer camp back in the day and we would always make this recipe for the kids at snack time and set some out for breakfast. During the breakfast hours I would see some kids pour milk over it and have it as a kind of makeshift cereal. Of course we would make this in tremendous quantities so I've had to do some math and lessen the ingredient amounts needed. So just a quick tip: if you decide to double this recipe, please use 3 large eggs instead of 4 small eggs. Also keep an eye on the oats as they're cooking, as all ovens are different, so they don't burn. -- posted by NapalmFairy

Gazpacho Shrimp Salad

This is great to serve anytime! Makes a great lunch and a fine dinner if you toss a little wine and a loaf of crusty bread in the deal! You can use whatever vinegar you like, and can add, after tasting, more. Nakano makes several seasoned vinegars that are scrumptious! Smoked paprika is one of the best seasonings I've ever used; you can't believe how fragrant it is nd the taste is amazing. However, having said that, it is very pricey. I cannot advise you excpept to tell you that without it, the recipe won't taste the same. -- posted by FLUFFSTER

Grilled Pizza

This recipe makes 6 personal pizzas; serve 1 -2 pizzas per person. Pizzas can be kept warm in the oven or on a grill rack while the rest cook. Enjoy!!! This is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried! The recipe came from the Honolulu Advertiser back in 1999 from a restaurant called Al Forno’s. I clipped the article and forgot about it until just recently when I was going though and organizing my recipe cards. I tried it out and thought it was the best pizza I’ve ever tasted!!!
These are so neat! My sister sent me pictures of these, and they are just darling! She is making them for Valentine's Day with her grandkids. Really cute thing to do with kids. You could probably make things for other holidays such as little eggs for an Easter cone,or candy corn for a Thanksgiving cone! They're really easy and would take no time at all.
