Honey Mustard Salmon

We eat salmon almost every week and I am always looking for new ways to make it - thought this recipe sounded good and easy. This recipe can be easily adjusted to how many people you have or how much salmon you have. It can also be used for whole, steaks or fillets. We tend to use salmon fillets.Recipe source: Best of the Best from Oregon cookbooks -- posted by ellie_

The Best Salmon Marinade

Fabulous Family favorite!!! Super easy and lots of flavor! Made many times and never had negative results. If there are any leftovers this salmon makes a wonderful salad topper for lunch or a salmon salad sandwich. When cooking on the cedar plank or adding liquid smoke, it takes the salmon to a whole new level of flavor. Awesome... best of all this is pretty much idiot proof! Try serving with recipe#318889 or recipe#297906 for a great tasty feast. -- posted by CHILI SPICE

Cedar Planked Salmon With Garlic, lemon and Dill

This came from the magazine section of the Denver Post. I've made it several times, usually in the sunmmer. Start soaking the untreated plank (or planks)you'll use early in the day- about an 8 hour soak is usually good, but you can let it soak longer if you wish.I set a brick on top of the plank to keep it submerged. The recipe calls for a whole salmon fillet, but I usually do two meal-sized fillets for just DH and myself and cut the marinade/rub ingredients in half. -- posted by Leslie in Texas

This recipe is to be made with a stove top smoker. The recipe comes from the Cameron Cooking Guide. This was the first Stove top Smoker recipe to win an award. This great appetizer was the creation of Anne Malone of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and won the top appetizer at a major regional cooking competition.
Salmon Fillets With a Pesto Sauce

This is a really easy recipe to make it sounds like a lot of ingredients but they are just going in a blender so it does not take a really long time to prepare. This recipe could also be done on the BBQ cooking salmon as a whole rather than cutting it down into individual fillets. -- posted by The Flying Chef

Spicy Salmon With Warm Maple Glaze

Rachael Ray's recipe for Chipotle Cashew Chicken inspired me to create this dish. Her recipe calls for chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Having none on hand, I combined some smoky and hot spices to improvise. The maple glaze gives the salmon just the right balance of sweet and spicy. It is an easy, quick recipe that could be served any night of the week or is elegant enough to be served at a dinner party. I oven-roasted mine, but it would also be excellent grilled. -- posted by MarthaStewartWanabe

Salmon "filling"

The idea for this came from the More With Less cookbook. It can be used to fill a sandwich (embellished with onion and dill pickle) or crumble it over a crunchy bed of lettuce; enhance it with herbs and spices and perhaps form it into a cheese ball and serve with crackers. When my kids were small, they wanted me to make biscuit dough into rounds, add a spoonful of filling to each, fold in half and seal, and bake @ 400 F for 15 minutes! It was easy to let them "help" so they loved it even more! -- posted by Singin'Chef

Baked (Or Grilled) Cedar-Plank Salmon (Real Simple)

This recipe is a (very) slightly adapted version of a recipe from Real Simple magazine, Jan. 2009. It was voted No. 9 in a list of readers 50 favorite recipes! It is delicious and SO easy! Buy your salmon fillets fresh (with skin) and you won't get that fishy smell at all! I baked the salmon when I made this recipe, but I have also included instructions for grilling outdoors. The cedar plank adds a wonderful, smoky flavor. It should be 7 x 14 x 1/3 inches. I found cedar planks in the meat department of my local grocery store. You must soak the cedar plank in water for no less than 30 minutes before use. Prep time includes soaking time. -- posted by galexa

This is the way I've made salmon patties all my cooking life: it's quick, easy and tastes great!
Salmon With Irish Lemon Butter

Grilled salmon is easy and quick. You can do it indoors in the oven, on your countertop grill, or out on the patio. Irish butter is made with Irish whiskey. I chose to use lemon juice instead. I got this from preparedpantry.com. -- posted by CJAY

Grilled Salmon With Mustard Orange Marinade

Dijon, orange juice and scallions, most of which are in your fridge. Easy, low in carbs and so delish. I found this on the eating well website. Hope you enjoy. Original recipe called for 2 T. dijon, we have chosen to cut back to 1 tablespoon and love it that way. Sometimes we broil in the oven and to keep the steaks moist, I add some of the leftover marinade about half way through broiling. -- posted by BakinBaby

Salmon Spread

One day we were shopping at Costco in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a sample lady gave us a sample of salmon spread on a cracker. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! The next day we returned and purchased the Bear & Wolf brand of Wild Alaskan Pink Salmon, which is the brand you should use if you can get it. You can even get it through their website. The next day the sample woman was not there, so we had to come up with the recipe by trial and error. I guess you could actually use any brand.
Spicy Pan-Seared Salmon

I made this salmon to accompany "Zataran's Black Beans and Rice". It was a quick and easy fix for a busy workday dinner. The salmon turns out juicy on the inside, crispy and brown on the outside and spicy from the combination of seasonings. If you desire to tone it down a notch, cut the amount of cayenne pepper in half. I served each filet atop one serving of "Black Beans and Rice". -- posted by MarthaStewartWanabe
