Warm Beef Salad Ala Sam

My daughter Samantha made this the last time we visited, and I was very impressed!
It's a very Aussie style of salad, as opposed to a Thai one, and NO coriander :)
I think you could used a buttery lettuce instead of the spinach leaves, or a mixture of a few different greens.
She doesnt use salt and pepper, but I put cracked pepper on the steaks before cooking. -- posted by mummamills

I love hoisin sauce! If it came in a beverage form, I'd probably drink it! This is easy and you don't even have to go outside or start up the BBQ. The flavor in this broiled beauty is awesome. And it comes with it's own salad! You can place the cooked steak slices on a salad, and have it that way. You can also make it into a sandwich. Lots of ideas. Note: Boston lettuce is known for it's curley and very tender leaves. There are a few others, so look for them. I am posting this for safekeeping, but feel free to try it out. This is from Cooking Light Jan/Feb 2009 edition.
Steak Lettuce Salad

The best salad I've ever eaten!! We got given some leftover ribeyes from a barbecue at my husband's company. I've seen recipes for steak salad many times before but never had the luxury of steaks to play with! Of course, I couldn't find any of the recipes that I'd been hoarding for just such a time so came up with my own dressing that suited the salad to a T. If you mix up the dressing and let it sit for at least a half an hour, it blends the flavours better and makes it that much tastier! We used sourdough croutons which were really good for this salad. The steak needs to be completely cooled so that it doesn't wilt the lettuce. -- posted by Chef Sharon 15

Grilled Beef With Sesame Dressing

Food & Wine Magazine, July 2006 edition. From: Chef Recipes Made Easy. Shawn Mc Clain marinates steak in a soy, ginger and chile paste for four hours. He combines these ingredients (and many others) with veal stock to make the dressing. The Easy Way they simplybrush the meat with the sesame dressing (omitting the veal stock) before grilling, then drizzle more dressing over a salad of edamame, radishes and watercress. The wine pairing is for an easy-to-find intense, berry--flavored zinfandel. We made these at my friend Luisa's house for my birthday and were they fabulous! To begin with, I wasn't convinced but after cooked - I ate my whole filet or however you say it! ;) -- posted by Manami

Balsamic Skirt Steak, Fresh Greens, Pea & White Bean Puree

This is a go to meal I entertain with. Not only is it worthy of serving to company, but it is easier than it looks. Each part is so simple and can be made ahead. It is very cost effective and is amazing flavor.

I love this steak recipe. Even though the marinade is basic it is the combination with the balsamic vinaigrette and the creamy peas and beans and the fresh greens which brings it all together. I now a mix of peas and beans sound odd, but this is a great creamy flavor. The grilled tomato makes a great side to the chilled salad and creamy beans. -- posted by SarasotaCook

Black and Bleu Salad

This is a favorite at a local restaurant I used to work at named Elijah's here in Wilmington. All of the topping measurements are approximate, put as many or as few as you want! The spicyness of the blackening spice and the potent cheese are wonderous with the sweet balsamic dressing. The original salad at the restaurant also includes cherry tomatoes, but since neither I or my boyfriend care for raw tomatoes we left them off! -- posted by Julia Lynn
