			<description>This is a recipe from my sister.  She is studying natural (herbal) medicine.  She uses this in the cold season.  It does NOT need to be refrigerated, but does take 2 months to cure before you can use it.  She mixed up a batch for me yesterday, but it won't be ready for 2 months.  She recommends putting parchment paper over the mouth of the canning jar before putting the lid on, to prevent the metal from rusting due to the vinegar.  If you can't find organic vinegar, get the kind with the &amp;quot;mother&amp;quot; in it.  I use Bragg's.
Horseradish is antibacterial, and expectorant and a digestive aid.  Garlic is antibact.and great for the immune system and colds and infections.  Ginger eases nausea, colds and congestion.  Cayenne is anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant, aids digestion and circulation.  And onions have a zillion health benefits! 			<description>This delicious and beautiful recipe for rugelach (a flakey, tender Jewish pastry / cookie) was handed down through 4 generations of Gourmet Magazine's food editor Melissa Robertss family and was recently featured as part of &amp;quot;Gourmets Favorite Cookies: 1941-2008&amp;quot;.  These are easier than the typical crescent rugelach as they are scored first, baked, and then broken into individual cookies afterwards, for a wonderful variety of textures from top to bottom.
The dough can be used for many different fillings including: Nutella (warm slightly before spreading), mini chocolate chips, cinnamon sugar, etc...  Just use what you like!  These freeze well.

			<description>This is a decadent cookie for the holidays.  I don't find the drizzle necessary as they are really beautiful without it. This is from Bon App&amp;eacute;tit Magazine (December 2004) and is featured as part of their Christmas Cookies special.  The ranges for chocolate chips and cranberries just depend on how loaded you want your cookie.  (The original recipe calls for the max. amount but I find that a bit much.) I got it from my mother, who used to serve it all the time, and now goes for the creamy type punches. It is fast and easy to make,too. I must say that I use the almond paste in the 8oz. can, never the tube, and it must be &amp;quot;almond paste&amp;quot; not marzipan for best results.  I also use my Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, dump in all of the ingredients except the nuts &amp;amp; within minutes the dough is ready to go.  These are great around the Holidays and since they are so expensive in bakeries, nice to make at home.  Some people like to sprinkle these with powedered sugar after they come out of oven, which is fine, just not my preference... I love dark chocolate and so that is the direction I went and threw in the other ingredients to try to cut through the richness.
