White Melon Sangria

Even though it seems a contradiction for a sangria to be made with white wine (since sangria is named for its blood-red color), once you've tasted this festive thirst quencher it won't matter a bit! Pieces of mixed summer melons are the perfect match for a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.
Strawberry Float Punch

This is a delicious and very simple spring-time punch. Next time, I think I'll freeze strawberries to use as ice cubes in addition to the regular ice cubes. You could vary ice cream flavors with this punch (i.e., rainbow sherbet, cherry, etc) for a completely different punch. I found the recipe at www.cooks.com. Serving size is estimated because it wasn't listed. -- posted by AmyZoe

Strawberry-Kiwi Sangria (Non-Alcoholic)

This is my all-time favorite summer drink. Very refreshing.
If you prefer, the tea can be prepared and chilled 1 day ahead (Step 4), just cover and keep chilled in the refrigerator. Or you can cheat (which is what I do), and place the tea mixture in the freezer for about an hour, and then continue on with the recipe. I'm too impatient to wait three hours for this drink. -- posted by dripdripsplat

Tropical Passion Rum Punch

This recipe came about one day when we had an interesting juice in the house, a great thirst and a desire for something a little different.
This is definitely not for the kids.
The name came from the location...we live in Jamaica (Tropical), and the colour...sort of a purple which comes from the pink of the Juice and the blue in the curacao (Purple passion) and the possible outcome....
This is a no fooling around Rum Punch..approach with caution and enjoy.

Please note: I used Guava-Pineapple Juice which has a pink colour, but any combination of tropical juices Mango with Pineapple etc. will work. The pineapple seems to be key. I use Appleton's Rum because it is Jamaican and great Rum. -- posted by Donalda

Lavender and Strawberry Fruit Cup from Wolds Way Lavender Farm

A boozy lavender fruit cup made with vermouth, herbs and fresh strawberries! How good is that! This is another gem of a recipe that I discovered on a recipe card from Wolds Way Lavender Farm in North Yorkshire, England – which is just 10 minutes from my parent's cottage. The delicately flavoured drink is the perfect way to unwind after a long, hard day........It is almost better than Pimms, and, as Pimms is my favourite summertime tipple, that is really saying something!
Poolside Sangria

Early in the summer, a friend brought a pitcher of sangria to a bbq. AFter a glass and a half, we were all so drunk we could barely stand! I asked her how she made it and was a little surprised at ALL the alcohol! This is my revised version- intended to be drank and NOT be smashed at the end of it!! GREAT on a hot day of bbqing or lounging by the pool. Enjoy! -- posted by Stephiesrocks

Senora Lopez's Sangria

I got this recipe from my Spanish teacher, who was from Bogota, in the early 1970s. Because of the long chilling time, the fruit gets kind of funny-looking, but it's wonderful to eat when the sangria is gone! I'm guessing at the number of servings. Prep time does not include chilling time. -- posted by Chocolatl

Christmas or Anytime Punch

The Love Chef, Francis Anthony who appeared on the Regis and Kathy Lee show, calls this a Christmas punch but it is equally appropriate in the summer. Ahead of time, freeze the water or lemonade in a ring mold to make an ice ring. For a specially festive touch, place whole strawberries in the ring before adding the liquid and freezing.
