Drunken Grilled Wings

These wings are so easy to make, and finger licking good. Every time I bring these to the office as a snack they go in minutes. I usually marinate a whole heap of these wings, and divide them up into bags in the freezer. And each time I am pushed for time, I just pull out a bag (a portion enough for my family) and pop them into the grill. The longer the wings stay marinated, the tastier they are. Whatever you do, do NOT leave the honey out. Makes a BIG difference. Pretty healthy dish. -- posted by KitchenManiac

Healthy Grilled Herbed Fish

A little dish I created a couple of years back. Extremely healthy. The fish turns out really moist, and the juice is out of this world. I usually add a little more garlic, but I am CRAZY about garlic. Has become such a staple with my family that it is requested for at least once a month. Don't worry about adding any salt, I personally feel that it isn't needed. The herbs and juices mixed together makes it all natural and tasty enough. But if you feel some salt is lacking, just sprinkle a little before digging in. ENJOY! -- posted by KitchenManiac

My O My.. Best Thai Beef Salad Ever!

This is one of the best Thai salads I have ever tasted and I just had to share it with my zaar family. Try it, you won't regret it. You can substitute the beef with the same amount of Pork fillets, chicken breasts or thigh fillets, or some firm tofu. When preparing this salad in advance, cook the beef, prepare the salad, and make the dressing, BUT STORE EACH IN SEPARATE CONTAINERS. Do NOT combine until you are ready to serve. This is an ideal portable lunch or picnic dish that can be transported in 3 small containers, and assembled on the spot. -- posted by KitchenManiac

Barbecued Pork--Chinese Style

This recipe comes from Dorothy Huang, who is a local chef and cookbook author. I think it makes a wonderful barbecued pork that tastes like the best Chinese restaurant's!
I discovered this yellowing paper cutting in my Mum's recipe scrapbook recently - this recipe is the one we always used to use when I was younger. The recipe was posted in the South China Morning Post in 1963 - by a chef from The Repulse Bay Hotel - that lovely old Colonial hotel is sadly no longer there......they used to have this great satay on the menu, as well as the MOST amazing Club Sandwiches! Absolutely authentic and I have decided to share it with you all!! If some of the language is a bit archaic - it is because I have decided to post it, as it was written in the paper at the time! -- posted by French Tart

Barbecued Pork

Capture the flavour of the Chinese butcher's barbecued pork, but without the high fat and salt content. Letting the meat sit in the liquid after simmering helps very lean cuts of meat to retain their moisture.
Cooking Time does not include 4 hours marinate.
