			<description>With only three ingredients salt, potatoes and extra virgin olive oil, and you are rewarded with a divinely creamy and buttery dish of mashed potatoes. Yukon Gold potatoes have a naturally unique buttery flavor with no butter added! Ordinary salt is one of the ingredients here. Use any salt you like, but (imo) great salt will give even more great flavor! I can't wait to try this with different varieties of salt to discover the differences. I think this recipe leaves lots of room for experimenting with flavored or infused extra virgin olive oil and various salts. Experimenting is half the fun! Let me know what you use please. I am so interested! I do not know much about Kosher or Jewish food and cooking but I think these might even work well there as well. 			<description>This recipe was adapted from another recipe I used to make as a cook.   It can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and reheated to taste just as good (In fact, that's what we did at our restraunt!) 
Preparation time includes baking the oat topping.  When mashing, I suggest to mash by hand to get the right texture. When I have mashed with an electric mixer, it turns out more like baby food.

This is what I found and made.  It's simple, easy, and a great way to use up left over mashed potatoes.  This is one recipe that I always come to when I have leftover mashed potatoes.  I once made these and I wasn't serving them right away, so I let them cool down then I froze them. A few weeks later I removed them from the freezer let them defrost and they were just as good. 			<description>An easy to throw together recipe that I made to accompany several meals over the Festive period this year. The trick for these roasted roots is to cook them en papillote (in a paper parcel) for the first 30 minutes - almost oven steaming them, before opening up the paper and allowing them to brown and go crunchy and crispy around the edges! Sprinkle them with sea salt, cayenne pepper and freshly ground black pepper before serving them in the paper on a flat plate. You can also make smaller individual parcels for full dining impact!! Use whatever root vegetables you have to hand. The vegetables listed in this recipe are the ones that I used for the last few times of cooking this dish, but I can see possibilities of many more veggies, especially when they are in season. You can reduce the fat content in this recipe by adding just a teaspoon of olive oil and putting the vegetables in a zip-lock bag with the oil, then give it all a good shake, I went FULL fat throughout Christmas and the New Year period! All amounts for seasonings are estimates--I tend to season as I go and according to taste; I have a feeling these are underestimates. The original airing of the &amp;quot;Thanksgiving Special&amp;quot; was 10 November 2005...just in case you want to look back in the archives!  

Some say the recipe is too sweet.  So, you may want to test-drive the recipe for your own sweetness.  These suggestions you might make as I did:  I let the sweet potatoes fully cool before mashing, I omitted the orange zest and put just a small amount of orange juice (not a huge orange taste fan), and cut back the brown sugar to 1/3 of a cup. One reviewer said that she only used 1/2 of a large marshmallow after she had them oozing out with a full marshmallow.  However, Paula Deen states that if you overcook your Sweet Potato Balls then the marshmallow will burst out of the ball.  So be careful not to over-bake them if you choose a whole marshmallow. I chose to roll the balls in chopped pecans and then placed each ball in a cup of a nonstick muffin tin (the recipe made exactly 12 large balls--enough to fill a full tin).  I also made some with the coconut mixture.  Another option would be to roll them in oats, sugar, &amp;amp; cinnamon OR coconut &amp;amp; pecans. I put the filled muffin tin in the refrigerator overnight and baked the next day after removing my turkey from the oven.
