Crock Pot Coconut Spice Country Pork Ribs

I had some coconut milk left over from another recipe so I threw this together and it said "YES" to me so I'll post it and you can decide if it is a "yes" or "No" recipe for you. I suggest boneless ribs whole or sliced into 1/2" slices. I used dried Kaffir Lime leaves, Lemon Grass and Tamarind as that is all that is available here (most of the time). The number of servings depends on the size of your appetite -- posted by Bergy

Crock Pot Indonesian Style Country Ribs

Easy to put together in the crock and go. Goes great with steamed jasmine rice and fresh pineapple and stir-fried veggies cooked with a little bit of the sauce from the ribs (I had some mushrooms and snow peas). This was inspired by KitchenManiac's recipe #62470 Curry Devil, a dish that I really love and prepare whenever I have the time and ingredients. -- posted by Sue L

Crock Pot Posole

There are so many versions but none easier than this. I usually get it ready the night before and refrigerate overnight. Before going to work, I take it out and plug it in. Dinner is ready when I get home. You might want to adjust the amount of chili and seasonings for personal taste. Serve this with corn or flour tortillas. -- posted by PaulaG

Territorial Chile Posole Stew

Posole is lime-treated corn kernels, called "hominy" in many parts of the country. Posole comes in many different forms with the most popular being canned. This recipe calls for dried which is widely used in New Mexico. The dried is more flavorful because as it cooks it will absorb the spicy cooking liquid. In fact, towards the end of the cooking time, posole will "pop" and become fluffy flowers with a rich corn taste and soft chewy texture. The recipe is adapted from Real New Mexico Chile by Sandy Szwarc. If you can't get the dried you can sub a 29 ounce can drained. -- posted by PaulaG

Midwestern Harvest Pork With Apples & Sauerkraut (Crock Pot)

We ate a lot of Pork when I was growing up in Chicago. The midwest, with it's many generations of Europeans, loves the richness & homey appeal of dishes like this. It is awesome. If you like the combo of sauerkraut and pork you will love this. When it's done it is fall off the bone tender and very flavorful. I made a few changes from the original but not much. It was fine almost as it was. Can be doubled easily if your crock pot is big enough. Makes a lot of sauce that is great over noodles. -- posted by JanetC-KY

Seasoned Shredded Slow Cooker Pork

This recipe is so simple that it is almost embarrassing. But the end result is a very tender and flavorful meat. The spices enhance the flavor of the pork without making it spicy at all. Can be used in tacos, burritos, on a sandwich bun, or with its sauce can be served over rice. -- posted by bshemyshua

This is an easy rib recipe but is very good, these ribs are cooked at a very low temperature for about 3 hours, the recipe can also be made in a crock pot. The sauce amount stated is enough for up to 4 pounds of ribs if you are making more I suggest to double the sauce ingredients. -- posted by KITTENCAL

Zesty Crock Pot Ribs

I found this in the Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook -- Bridal Edition and have since modified this recipe for baby-back ribs. I usually double the amount of ingredients for the sauce (Which I have done below) and if the family wants it a little saucier, I just use whatever BBQ sauce we have in the house. Also, if you like that grilled taste, slip the cooked ribs under the broiler for about 3 minutes before serving. -- posted by Virgaux78

I love to cook for my family and to just cook. This is something that is best cooked for hours in a slow cooker.
This is adapted from a recipe by Michelle in CA, from another board. It is easy to put together even if the list of ingredients looks long. You can double the recipe and freeze half of it. If you do that, don't sprinkle the sesame seeds or green onions on until you are ready to serve it. It can be reheated in the crock pot or thawed overnight and reheated in the oven or stovetop. -- posted by dawnie2u

Crock Pot Button Bone BBQ Pork

This is a quick, easy, economical & tasty dish. Takes minutes to put together and is wonderful served over pasta or rice. Make Pulled pork sandwiches with left overs. Use lots of sauce. Recipe may be doubled. I used a 680ml can of Primo'Thick & Zesty Garden Tomato & Mushroom" sauce and a 213ml can of Primo Garlic & Basil Pizza sauce. This meat cut is always very reasonable in price, the bones just fall out and the meat is very tender & moist.
Slow Cook Spareribs, Sauerkraut & Hot Apple Salsa

After receiving a jar of Beak and Skiff Hot Apple Salsa as a gift, I decided to use it to make this great twist on a traditional slow-cooked pork and sauerkraut dish. The hot apple salsa is a regional salsa from one of the many apple orchards surrounding this area. Boneless spareribs cook slowly in a savory mixture of sauerkraut, onion, potatoes, and Beak and Skiff Hot Apple Salsa. The ribs and vegetables come out juicy, tender, and flavorful with a pleasing hint of heat.
Beak and Skiff Orchard sells their products online so that anyone can duplicate this recipe. -- posted by nyshogirl
