Oregano & Lemon Pork Kebabs

This recipe comes from New Zealand celebrity chef Mike King courtesy of the NZ Pork Industry Board. The marinade is simple to prepare and imparts a wonderful smell and aroma to the pork. As written, this recipe includes my favorite vegetables for kebabs but you should feel free to use your own. Cooking time includes marinading the pork. -- posted by justcallmetoni

Cuban Spiced Pork Chops

This is the perfect recipe for those who love the flavors of a classic Cuban pork roast but are cooking in small quantities. Typical of Cuban fare, these are full of tropical flavors but not spicy. The garlic and lime pair beautifully in a fragrant marinade. Though you can marinade as briefly as an hour, for best results let the pork soak up to 6-8 hours. (Don't marinade overnight as the citrus cooks the pork over longer periods). Serve these with my Almost Fried Plantains #134349 for a delightful healthy meal. -- posted by justcallmetoni

Kentucky Colonel Barbecue Pork Chops (Paula Deen)

I saw Paula Deen make this on Food TV. On the web site, it was attributed to the Kentucky Home Pork Producers. These grilled pork chops are drenched in a spicy sauce while they are on the grill.
Pork Chops With Tomato & Fennel Sauce

Came across this one in my current quest to change up the menu a bit and have fallen for fennel. With a distinctive licorice flavor, fennel has many natural pairings including both pork and tomatoes. In this recipe, grilled or pan cooked chops are given a zippy finish with a Italian inspired sauce. For those of us who don't always have time to marinade and do a lot of prep work, this seems like lovely dish to serve to family or friends. -- posted by justcallmetoni

Plan ahead the steaks need to marinade for 8-24 hours (24 hours is even better!) I made these on my indoor grill they are very good, they could also be broiled in the oven and of coarse an outdoor grill. If you can fit a few more pork steaks in the marinade then go ahead!
Marinated Grilled Pork Chops

This is another great recipe from a local TV show cookbook called "KCTS Cooks" (on the grill). This is from a viewer in Seattle. Serve it with veggies on the grill. Zucchini, Potato Slices, Mushrooms, Corn on the cob, whatever suits your fancy. -- posted by TeresaS

Peachy Piquant Pork Bake - Oven Bake or Barbecue

A tangy and very fruity marinade which moistens dry meat, such as lean pork chops; this recipe is so easy, once the chops have been doused in the marinade for a couple of hours, they can be oven baked or barbecued. This marinade also works very well with chicken breasts or turkey fillets. If you are watching your fat intake, cut down on the olive oil - there isn't much, but it does help make the chops juicier! Serve with a selection of vegetables and/or assorted salads & crusty bread - depending on the season! This recipe is based on four people eating with accompaniments. -- posted by French Tart

Tennessee-Whiskey Glazed Pork Chops

I don't like whiskey so was a bit ?????? about this, but it is very good. Use Jack Daniel's if you can, the Lincoln county process makes all the difference.
From Cook's Country, March/April issue, 2007.
The original recipe is for pan-frying, but just use the normal grilling technique for chops and you'll be fine. I subbed raw sugar for the brown sugar to reduce the chance of burning. Prep time includes marination time. -- posted by Queen Dragon Mom

Ginger Lime Pork Chops

I was looking through one of my old cookbooks for some new inspiration and came across this recipe. Since I had some beautiful fresh limes, I gave it a go. The meat comes out so beautifully tender and flavourful. The minimum marinating time is 1 hour but if you can marinate the chops longer, by all means do so. Marinating time is included in the prep time. -- posted by Irmgard

Adapted from a recipe by lmdinmn at allrecipes.com. This one can't be done in the broiler, as it needs the hickory to get the flavor right.
Teriyaki Marinade

Years ago I was given a recipe for homemade teriyaki marinade by a friend from Hawaii. The recipe was rich, flavorful, and surprisingly easy to make. I regretfully somehow misplaced the recipe over the years. Now that I'm married and back in the kitchen, I'm cooking more and a lot more from scratch. I've tried to recreate the recipe I had years ago and think I've done a pretty good job. Preparation time does not include two hours in refrigerator to marinate meat. Hope you like it. -- posted by I <3 Cookbooks

Sweet & Tangy BBQ Pork Steaks

I was thinking about Lambert's Restaurants "Home of the Throwed Rolls" and how much I like their barbeque pork steak.
So instead of driving the 6 hours to the nearest Lambert's to Chicago, I decided to give it a try myself. It turned out so well that I thought I should share the recipe. And it's very easy.
I've been snooping around in the shadows on this site for a long time but you've finally inspired me to share as well. Hope you enjoy this as much as my family did.
The rib rub and sauce listed are completely customizable...feel free to use whatever you have on hand and it'll still be great. This just happens to taste like Lambert's. =) -- posted by Chef Chitown Ray
