Cherry & Walnut Cake Crumble

My Mom's dessert staple! This is a super-fast, super-easy recipe that makes for a fantastic dessert that isn't too rich and isn't too sweet.

I usually use walnuts for the nuts and cherry pie filling, but I guess you could use another kind of nuts and filling if you wanted. :)

You can use any kind/brand of cake mix, just as long as it's for white cake. 9 oz is the size of the Jiffy box, so if you're using another kind, just put in the whole box. -- posted by EmJoMay

Charleston Fresh Peach Cobbler

Southern Bourbon Fresh Peach Cobbler

I've pieced it together from a few recipes to get the balance I like between fruit and topping. It's great for serving to guests and definitely best with some ice cream. This is also great vegan with water or apple juice replacing the buttermilk, and margarine instead of butter. You could even serve it with tofrutti ice cream. -- posted by MC Baker

Grandma's Famous Peach Cobbler

My husband's grandmother was known by everyone for her good cooking and her peach cobbler was among her all-time favorite crowd pleasers. Unfortunately she became ill with cancer and, not to sound heartless, but it occurred to me that her recipe would be lost forever. She dictated this to me not long before she passed away. I scribbled it on some paper and hope it's accurate - she was one of those "pinch of this" type of cooks so some of the measurements are guesses. I have made it once and the family said it was her cobbler. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. -- posted by Empire920

Double Crust Peach Cobbler

I was at the market today, and the smell coming from the fresh peaches was driving me crazy! So I had to run home and make my Mom's peach cobbler. I was surprised to find that this variation has not been posted here. Serve with homemade vanilla ice cream. (If peaches aren't in season where you are, use 2 20 oz packages of frozen sliced peaches, thawed). -- posted by breezermom

The Original Bisquick® Strawberry Shortcakes

The original Old Fashioned Shortcake recipe appeared on the first Bisquick® box in 1931. It's said that an advertising slogan promised – “Here’s the Kind of Strawberry Shortcake Your Husband Will Rave About.” Shortcakes are the sweet cousin of the dinner bisquit, and these easy-to-prepare treats have stood the test of time in my family. It started with my mom who made her Bisquick® strawberry shortcakes with her garden grown strawberries and REAL homemade whipping cream. Some thirty years later my sistes and I are still baking up these sweet treats. -- posted by Feast Your Eyes!

Camp Fire Easy Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler

We go camping a lot and this is one dessert that the kids (and adults) LOVE for me to make over the camp fire. This is not low fat or sugar free! It's super rich and buttery.
I make this in an 8 quart cast iron dutch oven, no joke it makes a LOT. It's great with ice cream or whipped cream on top. I sort of adapted it from several cobbler recipes.
Note: I've used fresh peaches too, about ten med peaches, just cook them over the stove after you peel and slice them, with the nutmeg and cinnamon 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and 1 1/2 cups sugar, until they are soft and make a syrup. -- posted by NurseTeri

I was looking for peach cobbler recipe that was a bit different and found this one at TOH. Dh ended up making this so that speaks to the ease of the recipe.
