Mile High Raspberry Pie

from Southern Sideboards. Delicious, light, refreshing pie! Great raspberry flavor. Cooking time is freezing time, approximately. Use fresh raspberries when possible but if using frozen, make sure they are thawed. Very easy, great, pretty result! -- posted by jfresh444

Deep Dish Peach Streusel Pie

This is VERY loosely based on some of the pie instructions in How to Cook Everything. I've done a lot of adjusting and tweaking. A food processor is used to make the pie dough. I like the filling with all brown sugar, but you can substitute all white sugar, or use a combination. The topping is best with brown sugar.
I prefer walnuts for the topping, but any kind of nut is okay. -- posted by Chocolatl

Not your traditional "Pie", but a great mix of textures.
Saskatoon Berry Pie

This saskatoon berry pie recipe may not require you to turn your oven on if you have some pre-baked crusts on hand. Would probably taste great if made in a graham crust as well! I haven't tried this yet (as my berries got eaten before they got baked into anything) but it looks easy to make, maybe next year...

My Very Favorite Apple Crumb Pie

This is my all-time favorite recipe for apple pie. The crumb topping is so delicious and the apple filling flavor is just right. You will need a deep dish pie pan for this. The crumb topping will seem like a lot when you're putting it on but it turns out wonderful when baked. I bake my pie on a cookie sheet, lined with aluminum foil. You can use your favorite pie crust for this or try "Recipe#51537", one of my favorites for one-crust pies. -- posted by Lainey6605

Crustless Apple Pie

Don't have time to make a pie crust? Then you might want to try this fast making, crunchy topping, apple pie. I had to put down an amount of apples but use as many as it takes to fill your pie tin.You could also just use a can of apple pie filling. Good plain or with a scoop of ice-cream or cream whip on top before you serve it. -- posted by Catnip46

Super Yummy Apple Cranberry Pie

This recipe uses fresh cranberries, which I love! I got it from cooking.com quite a few years ago.
Garden Huckleberry Pie

The garden huckleberry (Solanum melanocerasum) is not a true relative of the wild huckleberry or blueberry, but is instead a member of the same plant family as potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants and peppers. Like other nightshade relatives, the garden huckleberry's foliage should never be eaten.

The fully ripe berries, however, are not only edible, but also incredibly delectable. And they're easy to harvest -- no thorns to battle as in picking wild berries.

Serve this luscious pie with whipped cream or ice cream. Posted in response to a recipe request. -- posted by Molly53

Caramel Apple Pie Filling (Oamc)

This is a recipe that my husband came up with when we had a lot of apples after apple picking several years ago. It has become a family favorite and one that we look forward to making after what has become a fun annual family outing at a beautiful orchard. We like using a combination of at least two or three varieties of apples for flavor and texture. Our favorite combination is Macintosh, Jonagold, and Granny Smith. I double or triple this recipe to can or freeze to use later in pies, over ice cream, on my oatmeal, or straight up, but it is so good it doesn't last long. -- posted by UrbanDesiMommy

Bill Yosse's White House Apple Pie

Came across this in The Seattle Times. Pie without an exquisite crust is simply not the real thing.
Pear Caramel Crumb Pie

I wanted to make a pear pie with a pecan crumb topping, but sometimes the sweetness of such a topping can make a plain fruit filling seem tart.
Healthy-Optional Tahitian Sunset Ice Cream Pie

Quick and easy sorbet, ice cream, and coconut cookie crust....

I recommend allowing dessert to freeze overnight to set for cleaner service. Cut with a hot knife and it will serve cleanly.

Note: Cooking time is "refreezing time"

Can be made healthier or allergen-free by using different cookies and ice creams! I make it with sugar-free lemon or other cookies and no-sugar added sorbets and icecreams!

Also try mixing which flavors you get from sorbet and which from icecream...such as mango sorbet and strawberry icecream, etc.

The Best Blueberry Pie

From America's Test Kitchen: "This recipe was developed using fresh blueberries, but unthawed frozen blueberries (our favorite brands are Wyman’s and Cascadian Farm) will work as well. If using frozen berries, in steps 16 & 17, cook half the frozen berries over medium-high heat, without mashing, until reduced to 1 1/4 cups, 12 to 15 minutes.

Grind the tapioca to a powder in a spice grinder or mini food processor. If using pearl tapioca, reduce the amount to 5 teaspoons. Vodka is essential to the texture of the crust and imparts no flavor; do not substitute."

Cinnamon Red Hot Apple Pie

Many years ago, a co-worker of mine used to go apple picking annually and would then bring some apples to me so I could make a pie for him. I got tired of making my same old apple pie and asked him if I could experiment a little bit. He agreed, and this is what I came up with. He was pleasantly surprised (and so was I). -- posted by JackieOhNo!

Lemon Curd pie with a sweet biscuit base, This was my Nanna's Mums recipe, Nanna used to make it for me every school holidays when I would go and stay with her. It was a real treat. Be careful not to stop stirring the curd whilst over the heat as if it begins to stick it will change the taste completely.
These indvidual cherry pies are made beautifully fragrant with marzipan and a hint of rosewater. My own recipe! Good enough to serve at the end of a dinner party with whipped double cream or vanilla ice cream (in which case, I'd suggest 2 pies each). All the refrigeration during the recipe helps stop the pastry becoming tough when baked. -- posted by elmsyrup

Famous Fresh Blueberry Pie

I live in Florida and it is difficult to make a non-runny blueberry pie due to the humidity, but this recipe is perfect. I got this recipe through trial and error of 5 different published recipes. The filling is dense enough so that little loose liquid is present, but you still feel like you are biting into whole berries when you eat it. This fixed my problem of getting a pool of liquid in the bottom of my pie shell. I recommend using only fresh blueberries.
Use a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate. Regarding the crust, the store-bought frozen crusts did not work properly for me. They either didn't bake on the bottom or resulted in an overflow of pie liquid into the bottom of my oven. I recommend the Pillsbury brand rolled pie crust dough found in the refrigerator section of the grocery store (by the biscuits/crescent rolls). These bake nicely, are easy to work with, and have an appropriate amount of moisture. Of greatest inspiration for the filling was from http://www.pickyourown.org/blueberrypie.php -- posted by MerryD
