Pepper Peach Jelly

Dreamgoddess needed a pepper peach jelly for a recipe she wanted to try, but none could be found in our small town. This is what I came up with. Just remember that for hotter jelly, cut the habaneros in half so that the heat can escape better or add another whole pepper. For less heat, use peppers that are not quite as hot. For just plain peach jelly, leave off the pepper all together. -- posted by Jellyqueen

Peach and Brazil Nut Conserve

A unique old Southern recipe. Brazil nuts are called for, but any nut would be delicious. From the US Regional Cookbook, Chicago Culinary Arts Institute, 1947. While this recipe is written in an old-fashioned way, it is perfectly safe if processed using modern methods. If you are unfamiliar with these techniques, please go to http://www.uga.edu/nchfp/how/can_home.html for the current information. -- posted by Molly53

Peach Butter

This is the recipe that I've been using for years and years. I love peach butter because the flavor is so light and yummy. I buy the seconds at the orchard because I don't care what they look like - they're going to be smushed anyways and they're cheaper. Save the pretty ones for canned peach halves. -- posted by Mysterygirl

Clear Jel is a modified food starch (powdered form) that will not break down in high heat during processing. DON'T SUBSTITUTE!! Clear Jell is well worth the effort, it leaves a cleaner and thicker filling that is simply delicious. Kitchencraft (1-800-776-0575) in Waterville, IA sells it by the 1# ($3.25 + S&H) or 5# bags. Also sold by Bakers Catalog (King Arthur Flour) and also at http://www.homecanningsupply.com/.
Peaches Supreme

This is another recipe from Barbara Ciletti's "Creative Pickling at Home." Ciletti states, "This recipe blends fresh peaches with crushed raspberries and a touch of nutmeg...As an option, place one peach seed in the bottom of each jar before packing. The flavor will be memorable." They are yummy plain or as a filling in cobblers or crisps. Try to consume them within 6 months for best flavor. -- posted by JenSmith

Year 'round Spiced Peach Jam (In Your Bread Machine)

I was amazed that there were no recipes on zaar for jams that you can make in your bread machine! This is from my bread machine manual. Only for if you have a jam program on your bread machine! I just tried this out today because I am going to make an assortment of jams for Christmas gifts, and it was quite good. I would recommend using no more than the amount of spices listed - it is very strong. Also, I read that you should only use low-sugar pectin recipes in the bread machine. I didn't cut up the peach slices in the first batch I made, so in the second, I cut them up pretty small because the agitator doesn't do much to chop them up, like they normally would if you were stirring it constantly in a pot. -- posted by IAteMyGluestick

Canned German Peach Pie Filling With Oatmeal Crunch Crust

I have revised this recipe. Cooks have told me it has been too juicy.
When it is time to fill a pie shell,(if you desire) you can peel two apples and add sliced apples to this filling or raisins and nuts if you wish.Sprinkle 1/4 cups flour and 8 dots of butter before adding top crust. If you don't want a top crust,I have added recipe for oatmeal crunch crust.(Due to juicyness of some peaches i have revised this recipe and hope you now do not have any problems with it. Also slice your peaches at least 1/2 inch slices in width or a little more. -- posted by Montana Heart Song

Peach Plum Jam

I got this recipe from About.com. It was posted by Diana Rattray. I was looking for a way to use up my peaches and plums and there wasn't a recipe like this posted here. Don't forget to use proper canning techniques. Make sure everything is sterile!! -- posted by *Z*

Peach & Tomato Salsa

This is a spicy salsa that my family eats with tortilla chips. My daughter serves it with grilled chicken. It is easy to prepare and process if you use the canned shortcuts. (Fresh is better, but it is still flavorful and spicy using canned tomatoes and peppers.) Use ONLY fresh, firm yellow peaches! -- posted by Preschool Chef

Peach Cardamom Jam

Thanks to the reduced amount of sugar, it tastes extremely peachy, but with a smooth little kick. It makes a nice thick jam, that goes great on challah or a croissant. -- posted by Natalia - St Louis

Peach Jalapeno Jam With a Hint of Basil

Sweet and savory peach jam has layers of flavors each working together.
Sweetened with your choice of honey or brown sugar. Either complements peaches nicely. Kicking it up with jalapenos. Do taste them to sense the heat level and use according to your likes. Sprinkled hint basil to brighten up the flavor. -- posted by ~Rita~

This year my figs were slow to ripen so I made this recipe using peaches and Recipe #252973. You can use 1 or all three vanilla, cinnamon, or ginger. I used all three and it was delish. -- posted by ~Rita~
