			<title>Cauliflower, Broccoli, Olive Salad With a Parmesan Dressing</title>

			<description>A nice salad for company or for any night of the week. Lightly blanched broccoli and cauliflower (still warm), tossed with olives, onions, a creamy Parmesan dressing and topped with crisp bacon. If you want, blanch the broccoli and cauliflower ahead of time and keep in a ziplock container or bag until you are ready to serve. If you want to serve it warm, just reheat in the microwave. I also do the bacon ahead and just keep in a small ziplock bag or container. This is a great salad that you can do ahead. Then just toss and serve. 			<description>My dad started this recipe in our family. I grew up making it with my dad and after his death I have continued to make it. I have tweaked it to suit my family. Great to make for the Superbowl or a casual get together. All the spices are to taste. The measurements below are estimates, I rarely measure. Feel free to cut back on the Jalepeno if you don't like your food spicy. Also, instead of just plain ground beef, I have made it using left-over chili, just cut back on the spices then.Use more or less Milk to make cheese as thin/thick as you like, keep in mind the salsa will thin it out. You can use Pepper jack Velveeta if you cannot find the Mexican style. Also, leftover chili or 1/2 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb Chorizo instead of ground beef has had awesome results in my household, just cut back on seasonings. 			<description>This is an easy put together dish which has lots of flavor.  I am especially fond of it because of the wine and tomato base vs. soup based. A key to this dish is to pan sear the chicken first, the flavor is just so much better to me. The shrimp is added 30 minutes before serving which will give you time to make a side of polenta with added parmesan cheese, or you could use rice; and a small side salad. 			<description>This simple casserole version of chicken chow mein makes great use of leftover chicken or turkey and is easy on the budget and your time. I don't measure or weigh the amount of chicken I use but the original recipe calls for 3 pounds so I've left the recipe that way. I just use whatever I have left over, or I'll stew a few chicken breasts or pieces if I'm starting from scratch. If you've got 2-3 cups of chicken you'll be in good shape. For a little extra kick add some red pepper flakes. The Owner / Chef was nice enough to share her recipe with me, and had many other recipes that looked wonderful, but this is the only one I asked for. Unfortunately, the Bed and Breakfast is no longer there and the owner can't be contacted. She was a fantastic cook. The cherries with the combination of the pecans and the creamy dressing, just make it a perfect combination.  I love to serve this with a honey roasted chicken, just something light and simple. Destined to become a family favorite because kids love it and parents love the simplicity of this oven-to-table meal.    I had a great result making this with bone in chicken leg thigh quarters.  I had one piece that was skinless, and we discovered that using skinless does allow the flavor of the glaze to permeate the chicken better.  This was a hit with my whole family - including my hard to please 3 year old.  
I used ketchup, reduced sodium soy, and lite maple syrup.  Ingredients I happened to have on hand.  This could NOT be easier.  Adjust cooking times as needed for bone in cuts.  Great with white rice and steamed broccoli.

This has to be one of the easiest recipes I make. The only thing that might be a problem for some people who want to make it, is you need to be near a Chick-fil-a. I use their spicy dressing. I don't normally like typical coleslaw dressing, so this is my little spin on it. I also like to double and even triple the recipe up for family bbq's and potlucks at work. Feel free to add your own items that you like....diced red onion, julienned bell peppers, etc. That's what is so great about recipes, you can make them your own. I think this might be close enough but let me know if it needs tweaking to be like the original. Lowered the salt content for posterity.
