Standby Frozen Margaritas

I like to keep Frozen Margaritas on "standby" in my deep freezer for when unexpected guests show up. When I hit them with, "How 'bout a frozen Margarita?", they ALWAYS resoundingly say "Yes!" So, you might also want to keep 3 or 4 nice crystal tumblers in your freezer for serving these babies. SO EASY TO DO THIS! Warning: This process tends to generate more and more drop-in company! -- posted by Bone Man

Mexican Martini

This is a sweet, creamy martini style sipper. Patron XO Cafe is a coffee flavored liquor made with tequila. Really quite tasty. I got a bottle as a gift from a wonderful friend and have been trying out some different drinks. The original recipe called for half and half but I find that too heavy most of the time and I enjoyed it better with milk. Don't leave off the cinnamon sugar, it really adds to the flavor of the drink. (***** Zaar wouldn't let me just call it Patron XO Cafe so I had to call it coffee flavored tequila.)
El Jardin's Margaritas

This recipe was collected many years ago when I lived in Chicago. It is from El Jardin, our favorite Mexican restaurant. It is very easy to remember, and you may vary the amounts of triple sec and lime juice to suit your personal taste. -- posted by Dan-Amer #1

Chevy's Watermelon Fresh Fruit Margarita (On the Rocks)

Top Secret Recipe Version, from Todd Wilbur. You will need to puree fresh watermelon in a blender for this recipe. First, cut some ripe seedless watermelon from the rind, and then coarsely smash it in a bowl with a potato masher or large fork (this gives the blender something to grab on to). Pour the melon from the bowl into a blender and blend on high speed for 10 seconds or until it is pureed. -- posted by AmandaMcG

Desert Rose (Cocktail)

I found this on the Women and Wine website. It is Maria Hunt's signature cocktail that she created for Cinco de Mayo celebrations. You can use any sort of sparkling wine you wish, such as French champagne, Spanish cava or Italian asti spumante. And for a lovely pink cocktail, use pink champagne and add a splash of your favorite rose water. It's just a delicious as written below though. -- posted by NorthwestGal

Easy Orange Margarita

I prefer mixed drinks with the liquor disguised. I'm also attracted more so to a frosty drink especially if it's one with the ingredients I have on hand. This is a smooth and creamy margarita. Exchange the orange sherbet for other flavors for something different. The serving amount can easily be increased, made ahead and frozen. -- posted by gailanng
