Amazing Burgers

I always used to play around with my burger recipes until the night i made these- I'll never make burgers any other way. Enjoy!

NOTE: The addition of a slice of your favorite cheese melted over the top of your burgers can never hurt.

ANOTHER NOTE: I make my patties and let them sit in the fridge covered in clear wrap for a half hour before grilling.

MORE NOTES: A good juicy burger can tend to make the bun soggy so it's a good idea to lightly toast the bun on the grill.

LAST NOTE: For a great sauce for all your burgers check out my 'Amazing Burger Sauce' recipe. -- posted by Drunk Chef

Meat Balls and Gravy

Growing up in my Sicilian family, we would never had spaghetti and meatballs, we called it. "Macaroni and Gravy." This is an adaption of what I grew up eating. I usually make this measuring with my eyes so the seasoning are approximate- you may have to ajust to taste. I make it in large batches and freeze leftovers for later meals. -- posted by Meliciously Good

Microwave Chili

This is the chili I remember eating as a child before microwaves were invented. This can be made in the microwave in about 30 min. but I prefer making it on the stove and then simmering it for an hour or so. The oregano is optional, I myself do not use it.
Serve what you need then freeze the rest. For quick defrosting and heating, divide into single servings and package in shallow freezer boxes or heat seal-able bags. -- posted by Catnip46

Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmas)

Slow Cooker Tamale Pie

Looking for a easy mexican dinner. look no further! My husband and I love this stuff since I work till after 10pm most nights. Smack it in the crockpot at night and my lunch is waiting for me when I wake up the next morning. I leave the seasoning open because everyone has a different taste for heat I don't do a lot of chili powder with the ancho chili's but I love cumin and the other seasoning. Another good suggestion is mixing green onions into the gorn muffin mix, I top with shedded smoked cheddar cheese and a little sour cream. Hope you enjoy. -- posted by Mrs Spencer

Cooking for one is often an adventure. Either you make the full recipe and eat the same dish for days, or you end up making sandwiches and eat them standing over the sink. :( Freezing leftovers would seem to be the obvious answer, but sometimes one needs an old-fashioned comfort food meal that doesn't need to be defrosted!

Brasato al Barolo is one of the classic, elegant Piemontese dishes, and really does require a hearty red wine, ideally Barolo (though you could use other hearty red wines, e.g. Chianti, Brunello, or Taurasi), to come out right.
The "best" Meatloaf Ever!

My mother got this from my grandmother and her mother. The word meatloaf just doesn't sound appealing, but after making it for my husband for the first time, he was in love. Now everytime I make meatloaf he is on top of the world. This dish is even a child pleaser as my 4 year old daughter is begging for seconds. To make it a little healthier, I use a loaf pan with an insert so that the oil and grease from the beef drain away and the meatloaf is not sitting in it. -- posted by Pumpkin Pie's Mommy

Cheats Scouse

This is quick, easy, healthy and cheap to make and is sure to sooth on a cold winters night. Serve with lots of pickled beetroot or red cabbage.
