			<description>At the local Indian market, they have a small, vegetarian &amp;quot;cafeteria-style&amp;quot; lunch/dinner counter that we go to as often as we're able. One of my favorite dishes there is a yogurt curry with pakoras swimming in it.  Pakoras are a snack made with, in this case, veggies dredged in a chickpea (besan) flour batter and then deep fried. I've been on the hunt for a good kadhi pakora recipe and found this keeper.  Just don't use thick, Greek style yogurt like I did; you want more of a soupy consistency rather than what my photo shows.  You can vary the veggies you use here. Try onion strips, spinach and even paneer, Indian cheese. Adapted from a recipe at http://www.indianfoodsite.com/. 			<title>Sarasota's Chicken With Fennel &amp;amp; Olives</title>

			<description>This is actually based on a suggestion made by another Recipezaar member, SarasotaCook.  I had made a request for ideas to use up some ingredients in my freezer and pantry, and she kindly described how she likes to prepare chicken using the ingredients I had on hand.  I took her idea and this is what I came up with.  Sarasota told me to go ahead and post the recipe, so here is how I prepared it. I used Muir Glen organic for the diced tomatoes.  Note: I removed the skin after cooking and served the meat sliced off the bone; the nutritional facts are assuming you ate all of the marinade, didn't spoon out the fat, and ate the skin.  My chicken breasts were huge and had enough meat to feed 3 servings. 			<description>I got this fabulous recipe when I vacationed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The soup was on the Boma - Flavors of Africa Buffet. When I inquired about a cookbook with the recipe, the waitress went &amp;amp; got the recipe from the kitchen. This is posted in the same manner I got it, but I'll tell you that finding 1 gallon containers of broth is difficult. So I use 10  14oz cans, it's a little more, but just as good. I also usually use 2 poblanos. Using ready to go chicken tenders is a big time saver. I just sautee them in a little sesame oil &amp;amp; garlic before I dice them.  This soup is very tasty and borderline addicitive. I've made several times since I got back. It is absolutley delicious the next day and freezes well. 			<description>This was inspired by my other butternut squash soup recipe (#402703).  The orange flavoring is optional.  I use pre-cut, cubed squash when I can find it. You can also use a small fresh butternut squash.  (The prep time assumes you are using pre-cut squash.)  I use almond milk in this recipe (I like Almond Breeze) instead of cream or half and half. You can save a little time by roughly chopping the onion and garlic, because the soup will be pureed later. 			<title>Menma - Braised Bamboo Shoots for Ramen Topping</title>

			<description>I normally make this using whole refrigerated bamboo shoot that I can purchase in Japanese market nearby in California.  If  whole bamboo shoot is used, cut lengthwise into about 1/4 in slices first.  Then  cut into 1/4 inch slices.  Finally cut the 1/4 inch slices into half.  The slices do not need to be perfect - they will taste great when finished. You can also use canned bamboo as well (although taste will be not as good as the fresh version).   Menma is granddaddy of one of ramen toppings.  In old days if you ordered ramen in Tokyo this was always one of the toppings along with shoyu or soy sauce flavored soup. You can purchase this in a bottle commercially but the cost is quite high for a small bottle.   I like to sometimes serve this as a snack for beer, white wine or sake. After she mixed everything together she warmed the soup in the microwave. Since I didn't want to dirty up alot of dishes, I just decided to heat everything on the stove top.
