			<description>I had a tin of chickpeas that needed using up and decided to experiment, so I pureed them with banana, peanut butter, honey and cinnamon and they tasted great!  They're nice on their own, or as a topping for oatmeal, ice cream, stewed fruits, or whatever you want.  I like them with stewed rhubarb, for some reason the combination's amazing. 			<description>This is a great side dish or can use as entree.  Terrific folded in a tortilla, even cold.  Have also put on sub rolls with cheese for a vegetarian entree.  I often double since this has so many uses later in the week for meals.  Have also made a cold pasta salad with these chopped or a hot pasta dish topped with parmesan and added cooked cubed chicken.  Use your choice of vegetables (asparagus, green beans), but this is what I like. 			<description>I used to make these all the time in southern Cali for my BF.  Now that I've relocated to the far North, certain fresh ingredients are harder to come by, so I haven't been able to make this sandwich in ages.  I'm not sure where the &amp;quot;m&amp;quot; stems from in &amp;quot;veggiemich,&amp;quot; that's just what we ended up calling it. :) The reason for mixing the mustard and dressing prior to spreading on the bread is to avoid uneven spreading while keeping the calorie count down.  Everything can of course be omitted or replaced to your taste; you can even make it Atkins-friendly by making a lettuce pocket and omitting the bread, hehe!  We loved using a lot of pepper for a nice kick. 			<description>Low calorie, fat free vegan recipe from Whole Foods; it is highly rated on their website.  They suggest serving it atop grilled fish but I think it would also be great with chicken or pork tenderloin.  You can make it up to 4 hours ahead of serving, just keep it in the refrigerator.  I think mango and a splash of OJ would be a great addition to this recipe as well!  NOTE:  I just made this recipe and I added the OJ for a touch of sweetness and added a couple drops of jalapeno sauce for more kick. They recommend Joyva or Krinos tahini and Pastene chickpeas (I used what I had on hand).  Hummus can be refrigerated in an airtight container for 5 days. Rich taste, full of beta carotene, filling but not fattening &amp;amp; inexpensive  - gotta love these vegies! Used a Golden Butternut to make this soup last night. It was the first use of our version of Sherry Peppers (habaneros, cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, black peppercorns in dry sherry) - turned out mighty well. I subbed hot pepper  &amp;amp; dry sherry into this recipe as Bermuda Sherry Pepper is hard to come by. The squash cooked down to a beautiful thick orange base that did not need pureeing - the carrot bits were soft too but added a bit of texture which was appealing. Keeps well for reheating in microwave  without separating too. Posting at request of DN who wants the recipe after tasting. 			<description>Use white flour if you prefer, but I think the wheat gives it great texture!

Tweak the spices to your liking...I use 1 Tbs each because I like the spicier holiday flavour.  Add allspice and/or other holiday spices...

I've also used vanilla yogurt and it adds a soft variation more for a dessert type muffin.

Also try topping with cream cheese icing (check my recipe I posted!).  Sometimes I even add a little cinnamon, ginger, etc or a mix of holiday spices to the icing.
