Tropical Fruit Platter with Creamy Honey Yogurt Dip

Healthy Raspberry-Kiwifruit Tart

Got this from Fitness magazine (July 2003). The difference between this tart and others similar that I've had is the crust. Delicious!!! I used splenda and fat-free cream cheese for even less guilt (alright, I did it so I could eat more...)but it's hardly a splurge if you go full-on. Of course, I'd never substitute good, old-fashioned butter. This tart is really pretty, and can be used with most any in-season fruit. Enjoy! -- posted by AmbyDawn

Fruit Pizza

Spicy Tropical Fruit Salsa

Other combinations of fruits will also taste great in this colorful salsa. Try adding diced melon, such as cantaloupe, honeydew, or musk. Diced mango is delicious also, or, for a truly tropical and exotic salsa, add sliced star fruit (also known as carambola). As with any of my recipes calling for habanero's, you as chef, can substitute with any other capsicum.

Orange Julius... a Special Twist on an Old Favorite

When you think of orange julius, a drink with milk or cream, orange juice, and possibly egg is most likely what comes to mind. Although I have always considered myself an orange julius lover, that drink never existed until I googled it in hopes of finding a recipie for my favorite mall drink- a mouth-watering combination of orange, kiwi, and yougurt dubbed "Orange Julius" by California Fruit Shake & Yogurt Co. Disapointed by my search results and determined to create the drink I love, I concocted this recipe. I hope you enjoy it.
Fruit Salsa With Cinnamon Chips

This salsa is made from fruit, made to accompany cinnamon flavored tortilla chips. It makes a nice change from the standard (but delicious) tomato salsa we normally serve at parties. We found the recipe in a Taste of Home recipe collection, and my nephew (who is now 11) decided to use it for his 4-H food project. -- posted by Chef #368894

Pavlova With Whipped Cream and Fresh Fruit

Pavlova is a traditional to Australians and New Zealanders that was apparently created in honour of the ballerina Anna Pavlova, when she toured in those parts. It is basically a delicate mountain of whipped meringue. After being baked under low heat, the outside shell gets crunchy, the top gets browned, but the inside stays chewy and soft - like creamy fresh marshmallow. It then gets piled high with softly whipped cream and fresh fruit. The result is dreamy, with the consistency of a cream-smothered cloud. -- posted by Chef #1008075

Use It or Lose It Smoothie

I bought a ton of fresh fruit at the start of the week and it is now Saturday and there is the odd bit of fruit still left in the fridge that must not have much time left in it. I hate throwing food away but know I won't get to eating it all one bit at a time before it goes off. So, I threw it all in the smoothie maker and decided to see what would happen. I ended up really enjoying the results. I used Greek yoghurt because it is what I had and my lactose intolerance doesn't flair up if I use it. I am sure you could use any fat free yoghurt though. This made two big smoothies for me but could easily be four smaller ones. -- posted by Sarah_Jayne
