Sugar Free Strawberry Jam

After spending too much money on store bought sugar free jams, I was given this recipe by a friend. It tastes better than most you find in the store, and is much cheaper. I use granular splenda, and don't measure it, I just add until it tastes sweet enough. -- posted by 89240

Baked Apple Butter-Sugar Free

This is a favorite of my grandsons and all my kids. I found it on RecipeUSA and adapted it for sugar free apple butter. Of course, there is sugar in the apples, but none added to the recipe. It's great on toast or as a condiment. -- posted by carole in orlando

Triple Berry Jam, No Sugar Added

A yummy no sugar added toast topper. The only sugar in this is the natural sugar from the berries. This is NOT something that keeps on the shelf for a year like other jams, this will keep 2 weeks in the fridge, or 3 months in the freezer.
No Sugar Added Blackberry Jam (With Splenda)

We have so many blackberries right now, and I love making jam, but without all the added sugar. You can't use regular pectin when cooking with Splenda, as it requires real sugar to set. However, there are low and no-sugar pectins available. I use Mrs. Wage's Lite Home Jell, but there are others. It turns out just as well, and is diabetic-friendly. I'm sure any berry could be used instead of blackberries. Another possibility is to use one-half chopped peaches and one-half blackberries for a twist on classic jam. -- posted by alijen

Almost Unsweetened Applesauce ( Homemade )

Very tasty applesauce that's easy! Why buy processed when you can make it? I often make this up and freeze in small containers to use up those apples that are just past their prime. This recipe has very little sugar in it and you can always use Splenda instead if you like. -- posted by PennyG

Sugar Free Crock Pot Apple Butter

Another Graham Kerr wonder! From his cookbook "Simply Splenda". In his words, "This is dense, thick and dark brown, just like my grandmother made. The apple peels are left on to add pectin." **** Cooks Note: Apple butter can be used in baking - can replace up to 1/2 of the shortening in many recipes. Add with the liquid ingredients. You may need to reduce sugar in recipes since the apple butter is already sweetened. . P.S. It's also wonderful on plain old toast or waffles! -- posted by SusieQusie

Diabetic Strawberry Jam - Sugar Free

Got this recipe from a site on the net. I needed a sugar free strawberry jam. Seeing no-sugared jam spoils easily, so I tried this recipe and it is perfect. The jam is stored in the freezer, so you may use any airtight, leak proof freezer container for storage. Tastes better if allowed to sit for a week. freezes beautifully for up to 6 months. -- posted by Tisme

Sugarless Jam

Good for diabetics, or WeightWatchers program, as long as you are really careful about portion size! My measure of total yield is approximate. Total recipe comes out to the same calories as about 23 "fruits", so here's how to figure how much you get for each "fruit equivalent". Measure how many CUPS you have of finished "jam". Multiply by 48. Divide by 23. That's how many teaspoons you get. -- posted by RivkaD

Arizonica Grape Preserves

This recipe has been adapted from another homesteader in the UK. It uses native grapes to my area and locally grown in my front yard. I substituted local agave nectar for the sugar at a ratio of 1 cup sugar to 3/4 cup agave sugar. It is enough to preserve a dozen 1/2 pint jelly jars. Each jar has 16 servings of 1 Tbsp. -- posted by Dæl de Sunne Hamstede
