Hawaiian Martini

Roy Yamaguchi's national chain of Hawaiian fusion restaurants serves a martini that will have you singing "Tiny Bubbles" with your imaginary monkey friend Cecil. Whole bottles of Skyy vodka, Stoli Vanil, and Malibu rum are dumped into a giant decanter along with some sugar and pineapple chunks. After three days, when all the hunks of pineapple are floating, the cocktail's ready to be served -- shaken, not stirred -- in a chilled martini glass. Prepare in advance of your next swinging cocktail party since the recipe makes around 36 drinks. -- posted by Loves2Teach

Fruity Freeze

This is something I created when I had excess fruit and hot weather. It is fabulous in summer, very cold and refreshing as well as healthy. Reminds me of a fruit slushy or sorbet but much cheaper and tastier. Can be made with whatever fruit you prefer, I keep frozen fruit in the freezer in zip lock bags now, just to make this and lately that's been every day! Prep time does not include freezing time. -- posted by dale!

Hawaiian Charoset

Most people make charoset for Passover using the same recipe that people around the world have used for thousands of years -- apples, walnuts and wine. This is a Faye Levy that takes fusion cuisine to a whole new level. This is certainly going to be the charoset on my table this year! -- posted by Mirj

Raspberry Coconut Cake With White Chocolate Icing

I made this cake from a vision, lol. I have seen these things called "Dream Bars" up on this site that have raspberry and coconut flavors mixed in them, and I just couldn't help but want to make a cake that had the same flavorings. When I first made it, I was really nervous when I took it out of the oven because it began to fall, but little did I know that it had turning into an incredibly moist, sponge-like cake. It soaks up the raspberry jam and takes up the flavor and color of it. It is really a pretty cake, and very tasty I might add. I hope you enjoy it! -- posted by MizEmerilLagasse

Lanai Pasta Salad

A good summer salad from the Favorite Brand Names Cookbook. I'm in love with pineapples so anything that has them as an ingredient ends up in heavy rotation at my house. -- posted by pesce_gurl

Hawaiian Glazed Veggies Stir-Fry

The combo of vegetables and pineapple in this easy stir-fry makes for a colorful sweet-and-sour dish. Fresh pineapple is best in this recipe; canned just doesn't taste as good.
This is a simple tasty recipe that I love to make. I'm the owner of A Little
Taste of Aloha in Tucson and every time there's a vegetarian dish request for
catering, this is always a winner with the vegans and vegetarians. -- posted by Chef Hawaiian

Grilled Pineapple With Basil and Mint

My favorite thing thing to make on the grill is pineapple. Grilling fresh pineapple brings out the sweetness of it. This recipe really takes it up to another level in flavors. It is fancy enough for guest and easy enough to make anytime. I like it with spiced rum too. -- posted by Jess4Freedom

Sprouted Oatmeal Breakfast

A great raw recipe, getting your fruits and grains! This would be good with sprouted barley or wheat berries too! I haven't made this yet, so putting here for safekeeping. I'm guessing it makes 2 servings. Cooking time is sprouting time. Adapted from Living and Raw Foods, sent in from Loving Foods, Hawaii. -- posted by Sharon123
