Created by Alison Mesrop in "O, The Oprah Magazine" December, 2006 edition. Bright pomegranate juice is always a beautiful sight and serving these at a BBQ in the back yard or anything you may have planned that is fun. You need some time with this, from 4 hours up to 1 week ahead; didn't include time for chilling. -- posted by Manami

Grape Salad With a Twist

This is a little different from other recipes I have seen posted. The first time I saw it I couldn't imagine the combination of ingredients but take my word for it, this is delicious. A wonderful combination of flavors and textures. Try it! You will love it!
Grandma Strohecker's Cider and Raisin Sauce

Another recipe from the 1980 version of the Grace Evangelical Congregational Church cookbook from Muir, Pennsylvania that was given to me by my Nana when I became an adult. This recipe was submitted to the cookbook by Grandma Strohecker. As with so many of these recipes, she didn't specify serving yield. So, I am guessing a bit.
2-Ingredient Punch (Mock Champagne Punch)

I've been making this punch for years. I wish I had a dollar for every time someone asks for the receipe and then thinks that I'm truly keeping it a secret because they cant believe it only has 2 ingredients. It is the easiest, most light and refreshing compliment to any shower, tea or party gathering. It's beautiful looking too and matches any theme or color. You can make it for a few people up to 100's and still, it is a money friendly punch because it has only 2 ingredients. But don't let the 'only 2' ingredients fool you. It's delicious! (Some people say it reminds them of champagne.) Kid friendly, teen friendly, adult friendly. Enjoy! -- posted by teastockton

Waldorf Salad

Inspired by Ruby Tuesday's Waldorf. The recipe is identical except for the grapes, the oranges, and possibly the exact type of apple. I'm not a big fan of feta cheese, for me a little goes a LONG way. So I made an extra side of the dressing and poured it over the fruit, and used freshly grated parmesan cheese instead.
Grape, Ricotta & Honey Tarts

Quick to prepare, elegant and delicious tarts, best made when grapes are at their peak! And these can be whipped up at fairly short notice as long as you have the ingredients on hand. This tart can be eaten warm or at room temperature. I have adapted this recipe from one I found in a March 2005 issue of Woolworth's 'Fresh' magazine. Serve with icecream, cream or Greek yoghurt. Since American recipes generally have more sugar than Australian recipes, American chefs may want to increase the sugar in this recipe. -- posted by bluemoon downunder

Wisconsin Dutch Stollen

Many cultures have holiday breads. German Christmas bread goes by many different names in German: Stollen, Dresden Stollen, Strutzel, Striezel, Stutenbrot, or Christstollen. The traditional German Christmas cake, is a colorful collection of nuts, raisins, currants, candied orange and lemon peel, traditional spices of Christmas such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, mace or cloves, brandy or rum and lots of butter. This recipe is courtesy of the Prussian, Pomeranian and Westphalian immigrants who settled in the great Midwest of North America.
Fresh Cranberry Relish (Substitute for Cranberry Sauce)

I've been making this for years, and is such a refreshing change from the standard canned cranberry sauce served on holiday tables. It comes together quickly with a food processor. Goes great with turkey or ham, and is especially good on turkey sandwiches! I'm guessing on the quantity this recipe serves, It's enough to make a large serving bowl, and fill 3 jars to give away too! Cooking time is just for boiling water. Hope you enjoy this beautiful addition to your Thanksgiving and Christmas buffet! (don't worry, the orange rind will not be tart, as there is substantial sugar!) -- posted by imatrad

The French Paradox,,,the observation that the French suffer a relatively low incidence of coronary heart disease even though having a diet pretty rich in saturated fats. It is thought that their saving grace is coming from all the red wine that they drink. Red wine contains resveratrol, a natural substance that has been linked to the prevention of many diseases including cancer and also to healthy life expansion.
I love red wine but I also wanted to see what other foods contain large amounts of the stuff!! Surprisingly, peanuts!! I decided to put together a trek mix using some of the tasty resveratrol winners!!!
I find that I enjoy a mix of fruits and nuts with a little salt and a treat like chocolate rather than just a bowl of just nuts or just fruit. I used salted peanuts to give this mix that hint of salt and balance but you can definitely use raw peanuts along with all of these other raw ingredients. I hope you like the mix! -- posted by Chef*Lee

Polenta Pizza With Brie and Red Grapes

I positively love this recipe! This is for when you really need a yummy and impressive appetizer! Based on a recipe from Michele Anna Jordan's book, Polenta. She says, "Of all the various toppings we tried with this crust, this was by far everyone's favorite. There is a tradition of sweet focaccia, an Italian flat bread not exactly the same, yet not entirely unlike pizza, and one version calls for grapes. Here, in this polenta version, mild and creamy Brie complements the sweet grapes, and toasted walnuts provide additional flavor and texture." This recipe calls for a baking stone; mine goes into a cold oven and gets preheated with the oven. Preparation time includes 2 1/2 hours rising time. -- posted by mersaydees

This is one of my favorite juicer recipes that I've developed. You can easily substitute any other green vegetables or fruits that you want. As long as you stay in the green family, it seems to work quite well (although adding pineapple is never a bad thing either). Super healthy and energizing.
This combination is genius and works incredibly well if I do say so myself! Every element of the dish complements the next. One of those things I make sometimes and live off it for days! Crunchy big chunks of refreshing celery set in blue cheese dressing with the sweetness of black grapes to offset both. The potatoes are a great foil to this and prevent it from being too rich.
