Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O

A crisp salty pretzel crust complements the creamy marshmallow-fluff-like "white" layer, with a tangy topping of strawberries in gelatin. Much like a strawberry cheesecake, but with the surprise of pretzels! For best results, make Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O only one day in advance, to preserve the crunchy texture of the pretzels. -- posted by Loves2Teach

Dessert

I got this surprisingly yummy recipe from a former co-worker who informed me that this is called, simply, DESSERT. It's very adaptable.
Red-White-And-Blue Salad

My grandma Lorraine Stromgren would listen to WCCO Radio's Joyce Lamont as she broadcasted a daily recipe. My grandma would sit by the radio with pencil in hand to write down those recipe favorites! A cookbook was published in 1979 after 10 years of recipes being broadcasted. Of over 2,000 recipes that had been broadcasted, the cookbook has the recipes that were the listeners' favorites. -- posted by Bec

Key Lime Mousse; Awesome!!

This is even better than Key lime Pie because it is creamy and much richer yet still light enough to serve after a heavy meal. A wonderful mix of sweet and tart. Don't let the use of unflavored gelatin and the long directions scare you off. If you can make Jello, you can make this. Just follow the directions & you'll be fine. This mousse is great for family desserts during the summer yet with some graham cracker crumbs and white chocolate curls on top, it is fancy enough for company also. -- posted by JanetC-KY

Weight Watchers Vanilla Mousses / Panna Cotta (Core)

From the UK Cook Eat Enjoy recipe book. This is a really nice, light dessert that I fall back on all the time. The recipe book calls it a mousse / panna cotta, but it's not really either... perhaps like a hard panna cotta in texture if anything, but either way it works well and is really nice. The recipe book serves it with roasted plums, but I prefer it with tinned raspberries. You can pretty much put whatever fruit you like with it (tinned or fresh) but, as per the first review, it does need something with it. It's a lovely summery dessert and doesn't taste particularly low fat at all. This is core or 1.5 points (WITH one roasted plum per serving) if you're doing full choice. Sorry - I'm not sure what the points damage is without the plums. Please feel free to Z-mail me if you would like the roasted plum part of the recipe to try with it. Enjoy! -- posted by Wendy-Bob

Red, White, and Blue Jello Flag

We had a block party for Memorial Day and I brought this jello dessert. You can buy the actual mold from www.kraftfoods.com/jello/ for $3.50. I got the jello mold free for buying jello at my local grocery store, which included several recipes. If you don't have the mold, use a pan that has a 10 cup capacity.
Follow directions as closely as you can as the consistency of the jello is very important.
Please note that you can use (2) 4 serving size packages or (1) 8 serving size packages of jello for the red and blue layers.

Must Try Low Fat Raspberry Dessert (Panna Cotta-Ish)

In the UK, Marks & Spencer do THE nicest dessert at this time of year - a raspberry panna cotta. Now for those doing Weight Watchers you'll know that panna cotta is practically a deadly sin, so I made up my own low fat version to try and stop me buying the M&S stuff. It's ever so healthy and really tasty - you wouldn't believe it's low fat at all in my opinion. It's almost core but I think you have to count gelatin(?) in which case it's not quite. Depending on whats in your cupboard you can either make this with a flavoured topping or just add vanilla and keep it simple (and more like a panna cotta). This week I've used raspberry jelly though and I think this is my fave version so I'm posting it this way, but if you want to make the plain vanilla version you may need to add some splenda if you like your desserts sweet.
Seven Layer Jello

Make this in a clear dish! It is SO pretty and people will be asking how you cut the Jello into such thin and even layers! Cooking time is total time for all the layers to set. Each layer takes about 30-45 minutes to set so it is best to place the white mixture over a pot of hot water to prevent it from getting hard while you are waiting for the Jello to harden. -- posted by Bake-a-holic!!!

Ww Panna Cotta With Strawberry Sauce and Pine Nuts

I really enjoy this one. It tastes very indulgent and not at all "diet-y." Both of my kids love to eat the panna cotta plain right out of the ramekins. Personally, I definitely recommend the sauce. The panna cotta itself is quite sweet and the tartness of the sauce is perfect with it. I've found that you can halve the sauce recipe and still have plenty. I've actually taken to making the full amount of sauce and just using the excess on other things. Either way... this has become a favorite here.
The Best Jell-O Salad Ever! Strawberry Jello Salad With Banana

This really is one of the BEST Jell-o Salad Recipes. This recipe came from my mother's cousin Antoinette. This recipe has been popular in her family for over 40 years. It is a delicious treat during the summer months as well as an accompanying Holiday dessert (Color goes well for Holiday dessert table). The recipe calls for real whipped cream, however I'm sure that Cool Whip could be substituted as the recipe probably pre-dates the ease of prepared whipped topping, but I do prefer the original recipe as it just makes it more traditional.

Note:
I use Strawberry Jello, but I'm sure any kind of berry or cherry flavor would work well too...
I also use food processor chopper for preparing the bananas & cherries - I use whisk attachment on electric mixer for preparing the set jello & whipping the cream. -- posted by BlondieItaliana

Quick'n'easy U.s. Flag Gelatin Dessert

This gelatin dessert can actually be ready to present in half an hour, yet is beautifully elegant for U.S. patriotic holiday gatherings. I came up with the idea when I'd forgotten that I was supposed to bring my usual Flag Cake to a 4th of July picnic during a very hectic time. I had lots of red gelatin and berries on hand, but no pound cake, no whipped topping in the house, no time to go to the store, and only an hour to have something ready.
Old-Fashioned English Summer Berry Jelly and Ice Cream!

Little wibbly-wobbly ruby red jellies with mixed summer berries, so cooling and great with ice cream. There is nothing I love more than taking a basket to the end of my garden to pick an assortment of ripe summer berries when they are in season! The sense of satisfaction at picking your own fruit is wonderful. Although I have called these little jellies “English” summer berry jellies, I DO make these in France of course - it's just that the berries remind me of my grandparent's gardens and picking the fruit when I was little…………...plus, the combination of berries is the same as a traditional English Summer Pudding recipe! I make these in little vintage metal moulds, they look so pretty served this way; you can of course make this recipe in a large mould, but DO allow extra time for the jelly to set. -- posted by French Tart
